battery life Evo vs Pre

According to PCMag the Evo has over 7 hours continuous talk time vs under 5 hours in their original review of the Pre - good news for us Pre owners.

Though, they did say 4g battery life sucked it down.

Yea people on SprintUsers are also stating better battery life then the PRE, 2 people on S/U were able to get their EVOs off craigslist after the Google IO.

Those two people on Sprintusers weren't Pre owners. Ms. Randall had a BB, not sure about the other person.

Personally though I don't know how it could be worse than the Pre.

Haha yeah. The Pre's battery is something else.

Even if you turn it off, battery still drains. A new topic on PreC described a guy who turned off his phone overnight and saw a "Please Charge" symbol the next morning.
The Pre's battery is the worst in horrible signal areas.
Maybe a couple hours at most it would last in those areas.

Plus there was a post on AndroidCentral that Phil wrote up explaining how to conserve all the battery your phone provides.
I'll be using 3G, so it's all good for me.

You can also turn off data when the phone's screen is off, but you may get some force closes on widgets that require background data collection ( ie. android central widget), but you should get much better battery (ask the incredible folks).
