Battery life not lasting? Your fix is in here

its not a matter of being a circumstantial issue. it becomes an issue when ppls phones are rebooting because they have gotten too hot. i've seen a few ppl post on this around here so i guess we'll see within the next few weeks (as more ppl buy the battery) whether the problem continues

Yeah I'm sure you'll hear from me once I get it and try it lol.

Seidio 1750 is what I ordered. AFAIK the Verizon 2150 isn't in stock yet.

Still not showing up on big reds site so I believe you are correct in that. Which battery were you guys discussing that was causing heat issues?

Some people must have received some bad batteries. I have the 1750 and have had no such heat issues.

1) does it push gmail
2) does it push exchange
3) do apps/widgets like weather/fb get updated automatically still?
4) does this effect GPS/navigation at all
5) does this effect AIM//Gtalk/Texts

Those are my questions lol. I dont get what this 'feature' is supposed to do. If it's pointless and doesnt effect anything mentioned above.. why is it even on there?

I have found that it still does everything but when it comes to my gtalk, I seem to get logged out of my account and don't automatically log back in. Also, sometimes when automatically switching from a WiFi signal to a mobile network signal, my gtalk does the same thing.

Weird. Maybe its me. Anyone Else?

Why is Roy Aguilera a guest now? Wasn't he a moderator, admin, or something?

My gtalk always stays connected, every so often it will lost connection when I swap from cell to wifi, however like howarmat said it connects back after a few seconds.

I'm hearing a lot of complaints about battery life...and this fix sounds like its only helping about 50% of the time.

Just curious if any of you have actually returned your incredible for something else based on battery life alone...

Yes it does, if you return the phone and love every aspect but the battery life and haven't given the Seidio 1750 a try you lost out.

I tried this fix for a few weeks and never noticed a single difference. I decided to turn the fix back on and still seemed exactly the same. The great thing is when I pull my phone off the charger it instant is at 99% sometimes. Then i dont touch it and probably 5 minutes later I am at 91%. Battery life sucks. I have tried getting rid of tons of apps that seem like they could be draining battery. Apps that aren't even running. I figured bad code in the apps might still drain battery. It seems the first 15% goes really quick then it starts to slow down after that.

Does anyone know if there will be a battery larger than the 1750 that will still work with the stock phone backing? I want an extended battery, but could live with the stock battery until there is something slightly larger than the 1750. I am a huge fan of the size of the phone so I don't want to compromise that.

1750 is it if you want to use the stock back. The 2150 is supposed to be out soon and be 1-2 mm thicker, then the 3500 which will be ridiculously big.

The Seidio 1750 battery makes a world of difference.

this is surprisingly true.

after letting mine cycle a few times, i don't even worry about battery life anymore, i can get through my day fairly easily with what i consider normal use for me now.

sucks that i had to pay more money to get the phone to perform the way i wanted, but i'm happy now, and that's what matters (to me)

i still want to punch the jerks at htc who decided coloring the eris battery red and making that the standard battery was a good design decision for this phone though. :p

there is an 1800 out, but i am guessing its a rebranded 1750 in all reality. They copy everything else and sell it for a little less it seems

You know if the 2100's back sticks out enough to make the camera not be protruding out beyond the rest of the phone I might prefer that

Ok, I tried this last night and today was the first full day of battery life I have gotten with this phone. I set through a 2 hour high school graduation today and used the phone heavily to entertain myself and to take some pics. This was an awesome tip. THANK YOU!!!!!!! :)
