Aren't you gonna finish the rest of that beatle song?
Yesterday.........my battery trouble's seemed so far away....... now it seems as though they're here to stay, oh I believe, in yesterday.
Aren't you gonna finish the rest of that beatle song?
AOD would not go off for me. I'd find something else to cut battery usageProbably ought to disable AOD. That's killing you.

Sure to each their own. For me at least, that's low hanging fruit. Tap to wake gets me to the same spot with a lot less battery. The problem with the F3 is that the battery is barely passable so tough decisions need to be made unless you plan to charge twice a day. I'm at dark mode, 60hz, no AOD, most apps are in deep sleep and I'm able to get through a day but it's close.
To be honest, if I had to do all that then the phone is probably not for me. I wouldn't get a phone with all these features only to have to start disabling them all.
Anyway, 15hrs with about 3-4hrs SOT in that pic above - I don't think that's bad, and certainly not to have to think about disabling AOD. In fact, I find it hard to believe AOD is taking that much battery and it's probably a mis-read while the system is still new and being set up.

I set it to display less... 10 seconds on tap. but I really use the AOD a lot.

Battery life is not the best but I found a way to mitigate it. Since AT&T had a good special...I got 2. So I'll use one on even weeks and the other on odd weeks. Stupido? Oh Yes, but it's not the first time I've gotten 2x something I enjoy and I still have almost 2 weeks to come to my senses. I was Going to get a Fold 3 and a Flip 3 but the battery life on the Flip 3 seems to be lacking a bit AND you have to open it up to use it at all. I may return one of the Folds if I i deed do come to my senses or if the iPhone 12S/13 Pro Max looks like something I need to have.It sounds like the fold 3 is going to be a bit of a balancing act battery wise unless you're a light user. Hopefully updates and improving battery tech will be able to get more life out of batteries. I've heard graphene batteries are on the horizon. Bigger/multiple screens in foldable/rollable phones are the future, but battery tech needs to keep up.
Wouldn't having a portable charger available make for a better investment versus 2 of the same devices that you will alternate?Battery life is not the best but I found a way to mitigate it. Well of course! But since the I got $1K off of both I'm only financing for basically one. I can return one or keep both and and only use one for a week at a time. So, the wear on the battery (that may have to be charged more often) will be less overall. Yes, I have insurance to cover a possibly worn out battery but it also gives me a live backup for a device that I absolutely love. Really smart? Nope, possibly the opposite but I enjoy this time every year as it's new toy time. The only thing I might do is return one to leave a line available for a new iPhone 12S. I have time to think about it.Wouldn't having a portable charger available make for a better investment versus 2 of the same devices that you will alternate?

I guess when I say battery "life" I'm really saying battery "wear" which leads to the overall longevity of the battery. By having 2 devices and alternating them the battery is being charged 50% less often which should keep its "wear" almost 50% less. That is just one of my perceived benefits of having 2 ZF3s.How does this mitigate battery life because you'll get the same battery life each week with each phone? Do you mean by extending the life of the battery overall, rather than daily battery life?
You could sell one and buy a bunch of batteries.... LolWell of course! But since the I got $1K off of both I'm only financing for basically one. Lol. By the time I near the 14-day Do-or-Die time I'll know whether the honeymoon phase is going to pass and whether to keep both or not...but I will say that it's a device that I REALLY appreciate. You could sell one and buy a bunch of batteries.... Lol
I guess my camera standards are low but I'm more than happy with the ZF3's cameras. I guess I'm just not looking for DSLR quality from my phones or looking to shoot in the darkness of night but I must be the odd one out.Am really liking how productive this phone is, except for camera (not even as good as my note 10+) and battery life. I hope with updates samsung can fix these.
