Battery life

Has anyone else used battery guru? Any more impressions would be helpful. Thanks.

I had the battery guru app on my phone for a week and a half and and it didn't do bugger all. There were many days when I swore the app was hurting battery life more than helping it. Uninstalled it.

I have 54% and 8 hours 30 mins off the charger. Some phone calls and web browsing but no gaming.
My android os is at 81%. Is that normal? Does my battery sound OK, bear in mind I have gps on, and the location things on.

Android os should never be the top consumer. I bet if you look at the battery details for android os, it has been keeping the phone awake the whole time off the charger. Reboot your phone to (temporarily) resolve the issue. Can't find any rhyme or reason to this. Happens to me probably one or two days a week, the rest are fine.

Thanks for your advice. I haven't done the off on thing yet. But here are 2 pictures. What do you and anyone else think?

I stand corrected. Your keep awake is under an hour. When android OS is out of control on my phone, keep awake equals the time off the charger.

OK. So everything seems OK here then? Thanks for having a look. Really appreciate it.

Well no because android os should not be using so much of your battery. But your situation does not mirror mine so I have no further advice for you...

I really feel that the only real stat to look at is on screen time. People go on about getting 1 or 2 days of use but their phone is in deep sleep for 98% of the time. I can kill my battery in 4 hours if I'm playing games on it non-stop. If I don;t use it I can go a full day or more.

The goal is to get between 3-4 hours of on screen time. This means that you are using your phone for that amount of time.

I choose to toggle off my data, gps and bluetooth when not in use. Some people don't like to do it but with a simple toggle widget it is quite easy and I find it really helps.

Ok. So Battery Guru is now in saving mode!!!

So far phone been off charger 4hrs 40min and has used 20% battery, I have sent 3 text messages other than that the phone has been on my desk.

Will run for the day to see if there are any "savings"

I've had my nexus now for just over a week. I think the battery has got better. What do you lot think? I have gps on all the time and locations on.

Considering that you have GPS on all the time (which is a battery user) and you were playing a graphics intensive game for a bit, I'd say that battery life is decent.
