Bestbuy actually for once came thru for me lol. I didn't want to wait til April 8 for the tab s8 ultra from Samsung so canceled that order. Bestbuy said they had it and I would get it Thursday. I ordered it early this past Friday morning 3/11 and shipped same day and usps delivered it today. Loving it so far and dang it is huge lol. My eyes having to adjust to the size lol. But on the s22 ultra sky blue.....I'm exciting to get that whenever it ships lol.

Did you pay in full for your phone when you pre-ordered? I did, so they gave me the gift card at that time.

No I didn’t, I was going to do a payment plan. My guess is I’m out of luck now

I just got back from my local Best Buy and confirmed @swqueens' information. All unfilled pre-orders through Best Buy will be cancelled tomorrow, Tues. 3/15. I was told we would receive an email informing us of said cancellation. All moneys paid at pre-order will be fully refunded, and the $200 gift cards we received at pre-order are ours to keep. On top of that, we will receive an additional $100 gift card from Best Buy for our troubles. Tomorrow will tell if the Best Buy manager I spoke to was giving me good information or not.

Well at least that's some good news although a terrible experience overall.

I was told the same thing at one Best Buy location, but when I went to the Best Buy store that I originally ordered the phones from, the Best Buy mobile representative said he had no idea what I talking about and that the information was "ridiculous". He went on to say it made no sense to cancel preorders when everyone would just order the phones again. I pointed out that the preorder bonuses would be lost, but he insisted the information was not true. The Samsung rep was right there and said nothing, and no one offered to call the other store to find out about the conflicting information.

I'm not sure who to believe at this point, but if anyone gets an email today, please update this post.

I just received an email from Best Buy about my pre-order. It was NOT telling me they were cancelling the order, but instead that they expected to have my phone ready to pick up NO LATER THAN 3/29. I'll believe it when I have my phone in-hand. This whole episode just emphasizes the fact that one should never believe anything that anyone at Best Buy tells them.

I'm sorry to hear that, @swqueen. That means you lost out on all the preorder specials, so $100 does not seem fair. I still haven't received an email, so I'm not sure what is happening with my order. I am getting different answers depending on which representative I speak to.

That’s awful 100 dollar gift card does not make up for order being cancelled.But Samsung knew this would be a big release with no note last year .they should of planned appreciately

This is on Bestbuy. They do this every year. At least with Samsung they wouldn't cancel the pre order due to not having any stock. Also this chip shortage ordeal is a real thing. I know it seems like the phones have been oos forever it hasn't officially made it to the one mark(which would be March 25th). Hopefully soon stock will start getting better.

I just pre-ordered a black 512 one a limb (I didn't even know the pre-orders started today)...at least the 04/01 date gives me time to decide if I really want to keep it or not...I have been pretty underwhelmed by the Pixel 6 Pro (I don't hate it by any means but I guess I was expecting more?)...

So I have been periodically checking stock of the black 512 unlocked in my area and some finally popped up last THU...I was able to change the instore pickup to one of those stores (which was 20 miles away) and I went and picked up the phone...

That is the short and sweet version of the story... I actually found one at closer Best Buy and they only had 1 stock (at this point in time, I didn't have the option to change the pickup store)...this alone was very frustrating since my actual pre-order was still not fulfilled but these stores had them....So I place a separate order for the phone (to hold it) and wanted to them to give them to give me the pre order deal (I had to order the phone at the regular price)...When I got the store, the manager basically explained they had to write a note to some department to approve switching the phones from my new order to my pre-order and this would take a few days. While I was waiting in the store, that is when I noticed I could then change the pickup location to another store. Since the location I was at only had 1 which was tied to my order, I couldn't pick the store I was at. I think if I cancelled my order, it would have released the phone. Instead, I picked that other store (which had 3 of them) and I went over there to pick it up...It took about 30 minutes of waiting for the process of changing stores and then completing the in store pickup process to go through...But at least I finally got the phone with the pre-order pricing (512GB for the 256GB price) and the $200 gift card..

I was definitely gonna get the phone at Best Buy to get the Reward Zone points so I knew my transaction was not going to be smooth...but at least I finally got it...

Just tried to order the 256gb in green. Through the app says receive by 03/23.

Go to order it, says sold out.

Lol you can't include the pre order date in the time it took to get the phone in stock. Release was on the 25th so you were not inconvenienced by more than 3 weeks. Received mine on the 22nd and I'm still in the honeymoon stage. Enjoy your new S22 Ultra it's an awesome device

Samsung was saying on Samsung Direct 2/9, that exclusive colors would be delivered in 3-4 weeks. Matter of fact on 2/9 preorder day it gave me a delivery date 3/8 /22. That is 4 weeks. I ordered a sky blue. Samsung themselves were including from 2/9.

Best buy can't deliver if Samsung did not send inventory

Yes but bb is known for notoriously over promising devices on release day. Happens every launch. People wait weeks even months to get their pre ordered device from worst buy.

I got mine through BB and was given a promise date of 3-22, but got it Friday afternoon. So for me it was great.

I was able to order a unlocked S22 ultra they gave me only 450 for my trade but I can pick it up 3/29.
