Best Buy Pre-Order Thread

I also pre-ordered my Ultra on Feb 21 online with best buy (I'm on Sprint). I've received 2 emails from Best Buy today... one is my new mobile agreement with Sprint and the other is my return label to send back my current device. My status still says "preparing for pickup tomorrow." I preorder with Best Buy every year and this is the first time I've received these emails before I have my phone. I'm hoping they just changed their preorder pickup process to be more efficient and someone didn't go in and get my phone somehow. I'm totally paranoid because I keep reading about people already going to their best buys and getting their phones...

Interesting that they are giving you the return label, I thought if we did in-store pick-up with a phone trade in we had to leave the old phone at Best Buy...

Not if you're trading in with your carrier & not Best Buy. With At&t, once you pay 50% of your lease, you have 15 days to return your old phone or your charged the remaining balance of your old phone.

Oh, sorry... I should've included that I'm on the Galaxy Forever plan with Sprint, so my phone is leased and returned for the new model every year. I don't get to participate in the trade in deal.
 
I ordered the Verizon ultra 512. My order page changed today from preorder to getting ready for pick up tomorrow. I keep thinking that best buy has it set up to automatically change to that the day before. Order page for that model went from unavailable at my store to notify when available.
 
I'm on mine right now and so far so good. Running my delivery apps which is my part time job evening and weekends and no issues so far
 
Got a phone call today that there was a problem with the preactivation of my line and that my order was cancelled because Verizon couldn't get the upgrade to approve. Sounds like the same issue that happened to ATT users on prior releases. I was able to reorder at the store and still get the trade in bonus and qualify for the preorder offer. Fingers crossed this order goes through and I can pick up tomorrow. Funny thing is that I upgraded 2 lines and only 1 order had the issue. Both phones were actually at the store for my order so it was a little frustrating. They did add an additional discount to my device for the trouble so I was thankful for that. The Samsung rep said over 600 orders were cancelled with the same issue just here in southeast Michigan. That can't be a good look for the launch. Here's to hoping I have no issues tomorrow.

Your order page change at all? I haven't gotten a email, but have seen a change on order page from preorder to preparing for pick up tomorrow
 
I just called my Best Buy about scheduling an appointment for pickup and they just said to come in whenever...

Uh oh... also in SE Michigan, I hope that's not the case with my order. I'm going to show up in the morning and see if I can pick mine up. Website still showing they are prepping for my pick up, not much movement.
 
I'm with Verizon. I just checked on my Verizon account under the number upgrade under messages and there's a device payment agreement in there from best buy dated today from a order on Feb 21st. Might be a way for you to check

That's what mine changed to, I checked on Verizon account and there's a device payment agreement in there dated today from best buy order date on Feb 21st.

I think there's a good chance we are getting our phones tomorrow, or weekend anyway
 
I just checked my devices on my vzw account and the new device balance amount $ is showing, but it still references my old device...

Just checked and mine is showing the new payment info also, still has the old device. Imagine that's because we haven't activated new phone yet. I would assume we'll be getting our phones tomorrow or Saturday. I'm surprised being I ordered the ultra 512

I checked, mine has the same AND the document states that I accepted the agreement this evening, even though I haven't.
