Best Buy Preorders?

A buddy of mine walked into BB and asked to just purchase an EVO without pre ordering and was told he had to pre order. Well he did the pre order and was trading in his Iphone 4s for a 350.00 credit. He is told they don't know when they might get more phones in. We leave and he gets out to his car and boom gets an email saying to come pick up his phone it's ready. We go back in he gets his phone didn't pay a dime for it. They matched Walmart's 148.99 price gave him 350.00 for his iphone and the 50.00 gift card. Pretty good deal I guess for not knowing when you would get your phone.

That is exactly the situation i am in right now...except I have yet to receive my EVO...I will basically get the phone for free since i got the $350 (plus $50 preorder credit).

I want my email saying my phone is in. I called Walmart and RadioShack and they dont have the phone either. Where was this? Im in Milwaukee and apparently it takes forever for stuff to get here.

I just called my local BB and they initially thought i was a non-preorder customer and said that they probably will get the phone in about two or three weeks. I told them I was a preorder customer and they then said the phone may come in later today or tomorrow, but they are unsure on the exact timing. SOOOO it seems like my phone maybe be on a large truck or cargo plane somewhere in or over the US.

I have been led astray with bestbuy information, so I am not getting too excited as of right now.

I have had heard conflicting stories. I heard that some/most BB stores are getting shipments today and will send out emails and call ppl once they are received. I have heard they dont know when it is coming but should get it by tomorrow. I have heard that they will get them when that store gets its next standard shipment (my local BB gets a shipment every monday and wednesday) and for those who didnt preorder i heard it will be a two or three week wait...so honestly at this point, it is still a guessing game

Well I went to the local bbmobile here in northern NJ. Had a preorder there and was waiting like everyone else. I come in there and the salesman recognized me. So I asked if they had any in.

He goes a well a, (at this point my bp is already spiking). Hopefully we will have them on Saturday. It took all my strength not to explode in front of him. I said they better have them them since the launch has been announced for that day. It would be easier to just walk into a regular sprint store and get it right then. He just kept on looking helpless as I shook my head in disgust walking out.

For people who preordered at Best Buy, how do you get them to apply the $50 towards the purchase. The fine print says you get the code 2-3 days after activation.

Don't know how it is now, but when i worked at Best Buy they got the cell phones seperate from the rest of the merchandise...there was a truck twice a week with the main store merchandise, and the wireless department got random Fed-Ex shipments of phones...

from my understanding that only applies to online preorders. Those done in the store have the gift card printed out as the transaction is being completed and can be applied on the spot to the phone purchase

I stopped at my local BB to ask about the price of the EVO LTE. All i get is a $50 GC 2/3 days after activation, no preorder credit. I can trade in my old phone & get credit towards the EVO though.

Try your local Walmart.. I preordered mine on Best Buy.com and finally got it last Friday.. But Friday I was looking for a case and just happened to be in Walmart and they had 3 or 4 behind the counter and no display out... I was back in there again just yesterday and they still had 2 left because you basically have to ask for it since there is no display out... Without a display and the fact that most people don't think about checking Walmart you might get lucky (even though I read that most Sprint stores should have them by Saturday)

Therefore i have to pay $199.99 per phone. Can anyone provide me with more info. on this? A link or ad from BB to show the store i get a $50 GC for preorder?

I received my 50 credit for phone freedom, 50 for the pre order, 50 for my old evo, and 50 for new 2 year activation.

I don't get the phone freedom discount. Did you use the preorder gc towards the purchase? My BB said i couldn't. BB Mobile says yes, store still says no.

Called my local BB and they said they should receive the phone tomorrow for preorders (they didnt say anything about non-preorders) and to watch my email tonight and tomorrow. I wish/hope they give me a free case for waiting like sprint did with their dotcom preorders (ambitious thoughts).

I preordered mine over the phone at a BB mobile store on Friday 5/25 and walked in to the store on Tuesday to ask, CSR said it's not in, I was leaving and the CSR told me to hold on and went to the back and brought out a shiny new EVO, asked if I'd still get my GC for preordering and said yes. I might have gotten lucky but as far as my experience goes and if you have ants in your pants for the EVO, and I know I did, go into the store

Received my call to pick up my phone when BB open tomorrow. I pre-ordered on-line on the 9th and cancelled a 2 weeks later and pre-ordered I the local BB mobile. A friend of preordered right before me and received her phone on Tuesday because one of the original preorders was cancelled. Just think, I could have had my phone Tuesday. The phone is in today but I was told they can't release it until tomorrow.

Now currently, Best Buy has a promotion where if you buy the EVO 4G LTE (on-line or in store) and it's activated through Best Buy, you get an additional $50 gift card...however this one can not be used towards the purchase of the phone at the time of sale. I think they email you a GC code.
