Best Buy Preorders?

What is BB's price without a EVO 4g trade in? I've gone to my local store & emailed BB Mobile, noone seems to know what the price is. I know i get a $50 gift card, that offsets the upgrade fee. The local store rep said he had no clue what the price would be fri. I said your ad says $199.99 thru Sat. He said i haven't looked at the ad, when the phone comes out it could be a different price. What a idiot. I may just go thru Sprint & have less hassle & deal with intelligent people.

Pre ordered online on the 9th....I feel screwed....I could have easily went to the store to at least pick it up on the 18th.

Ugh! I had a similar experience with Best Buy on the phone yesterday morning. The guy eventually told me that he would call me back with information but he never did. Oh, well. I've decided to avoid Best Buy hassles and head to a Sprint store sometime between 7-8am on Friday.

BB Mobile emailed with saying the EVO 4g?LTE is $199.99 then a $50 gc. The gc can't be used towards the purchase of the phone.

I just called BB online to check the status and the automated system said there was a billing error and they transferring me to a representative. What type of billing error can I have. I was charged for my back-ordered item. On hold now. SMH!

I did best buy online pre-order too and mine says backorder. However, I noticed that they actually took the money out of my account today. I think that means shipping today or tomorrow. They preauthorize when its ordered initially then take the money out of the account when it ships. Hopefully, anyways.

I'm going keep a positive attitude like you and hope for the same. I made no progress calling. I was hung up on a few times just trying to get transferred to BB mobile. I will celebrate as if it will be shipped soon.

Huzzah, BB charged my card this afternoon (wasn't on my statement this morning) That means it's shipping!

Just confirmed over the phone with BB that all pre-ordered phones will be in stock tomorrow night or Thursday, but they can't sell them until Friday. They'll be calling sometime over the next 48 hours to set up appointments for Friday.

Also, the $50 pre-order discount and the $50 OG EVO trade-in discount apply. The purchase also qualifies for the $50 gift card, which cannot be applied toward the phone.

$99 EVO4GLTE on release day + a $50 BB gift card for accessories = two big thumbs up.

This is the Indianapolis Best Buy Mobile store at Castleton Mall, FWIW.


Now back to watching the Sprint & Wirefly pre-order folks losing their minds...

Personally I think most pre-orders from Sprint, BB and Wirefly will be ready by release day and there will be lots of happy people. Some Sprint orders may even be a day early.

It's Tuesday. The phone comes out on Friday. I really don't understand the concern.

I'm far more inclined to believe a rep at the store where I'm picking the phone up (which I did) than a random corporate rep at an 800 number. Big difference.

Sprint obviously gets first stock, everyone else is second. It will just depend on whether BB ALREADY had stock before the customs hold went into effect.

Someone on XDA reported getting a voicemail from BB saying the phone may not be available on Friday and that they would call with updates but to not come in Friday. Has anyone else gotten anything like this?

For some reason I believe my BB either already has their phones and can't release them to preorderers like me, and everyone else until Friday or their allotted stock of phones is already here in the states and just haven't been sent to the store yet.

Where I am at, AT&T and Verizon are the dominant carriers by a longshot over Sprint, so even though I went to BB on May 8th and preordered here, I should still have my phone on Friday just in time for my birthday on the 20th because not alot of people have Sprint here.
