Well I dunno the boxwave just seemed almost sticky to me. Its all personal preference I suppose but I don't have any dirt build up or peeling after 2 months.
i think this is what they are talking about
Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear
thats what i will be getting for my evo. it was between this and the boxwave
Amazon also sells that same 2-pack for $11 bucks. And if you choose their Prime account (think that's what it's called) for the 14-day trial, you get 2 day FREE shipping. And yes, it comes in 2 days. Just make sure to go back and uncheck the option of auto-charge your account after the trial.
Amazon.com: Seidio Ultimate Screen Protector for HTC EVO 4G, 2 Pack (Crystal?
Zagg is not as good as they advertise. I've had 3 of them, at $14.95 each. I have taken each one off due to post application bubbles. I am experienced at this application. I've done window tint and wallpaper which is essentially the same process.Help a touchscreen newbie out... there seems to be a handful of "screen protector" companies in the marketplace (some haven't been announced for the EVO yet, but I'd imagine they will be). Which brand is generally considered the best?
Zagg's invisibleSHIELD seems to be the "most searched" option.
I'm looking for something that doesn't smudge (fingerprints), if possible - I know that's probably not feasible, but some brands might be better than others??
Thanks for any help!
Okay so I got the Seidio's in the mail and finally got a chance to use one front only screen protector. (My original Skinomi from day 1 finally got an unbearable blemish across it, before I was living with some fingernail dents caused by playing HR Derby too much).
It was easy to apply. I caused one little scratch by using the card that came with to smooth bubbles. Can only see it with white only screen.
Now with it on and used for a day, I notice it gets quite fingerprinting, and two small lift ups that look like half bubbles are appearing on edge (maybe I didn't smooth edges enough). All else is good. Clear, smooth and repsonsive.
Will see how long I can keep this on without major marks that cause me to replace.
My skinomi went from about 6/14 to 8/31. Right now I would be willing to go back to them.
My Boxwave just got a good scratch on it, but it did protect the screen with no problems. I now have to replace it. The only thing I didn't like about the Boxwave was that it fit seemed just a little big, especially if you use an Innocase or and other case like an Innocase. To put it on you had to be exact. I just ordered the new Otterbox which comes with a screen protector included, but really don't know how good the screen protector is. I had the Boxwave crystal clear version, not antiglare. Should I get an anti-glare or stick with the crystal clear? I don't like the water type screen protectors. Is there another brand out there like Boxwave, but not as tight a fit?
update: Well, seidio was in pocket with zippo lighter and the protector got all abrasions on it? I guess it did its job, but i gotta wonder why it damaged so easily.
Applied second seidio one and it came up at the ends within a day. I am out on seidio. Called customer service and they gave me a hard time as well.
after several attempts with seidio customer service i realized that the bottom line is they will not give a replacement or reimbursement without a huge runaround. I will never purchase from them again!!!!
I got the otterbox commuter about two weeks ago and have been using the screen protector that came with it. Installing it was a breeze and not one air bubble, which is nice. Anyways two weeks and it has no scratches and is just as smooth and clear as the glass itself. Thumbs up. It's not the best I'm sure but it's pretty good and was included with the case anyways.
