That's not the first time I've heard that. I think they might get a bump for in-store activation. They also have another chance to upsell you on Geek Squad, case, memory card, screen protector, etc.
So, I pre-ordered thru Best Buy as a Sprint user on Aug 24th at Midnight, and ever since my status has said "In Progress" and my payment method is still saying "Awaiting Authorization" Are there any Sprint BB pre-orders out there that have seen any movement? I have been getting rather discouraged after seeing all the Verizon, AT&T, and even T Mobile pre-orders already shipped and received. This is my first time to do this and probably the last. Been wanting to update my Note 4, which is a great phone, but getting old and slow.
Frankly if I don't get an email by early afternoon I will cancel my pickup and order directly from Verizon for next day delivery. It's the principle that they would treat pickup customers differently than online orders. Forget the $150 savings.
I'm considering doing the same. Verizon said if I order today before 4 I'll have it before Friday. Best Buy is working my nerves.. $150 is hard to give up but they're making me so angry I'm like do I want to give them anymore of my dang time!

did you order in store or online though???didn't want to order through BB, but Sprint forced it with their lease only policy.

that's what I'm most upset about.. I'd be okay of Best Buy Online had to wait until the 15th toowhich doesn't look like they will. it is quite frustrating I'm still undecided...

if you order online you receive online. cancelling at this point will delay further. I chose to delay by cancelling my CostCo order and going with BB.I also pre-ordered in the store (8/25- Verizon - will do monthly plan payments) and was not given an option for online sign up and mail delivery. So pick up is where it stands now. For clarification, for those that ordered online and are seeing delivery movement are you getting the unlocked or going with a plan?
I have emailed and sent on twitter messages to BB for clarification on this raw deal for people like in my spoke and of course, no response. I may go into the local store today and see if I can switch my pre-order to online/mail delivery. I am really reluctant at this point to have to sit with a rep at pick-up now (I will not be a happy camper and will have absolutely no tolerance for salesman gimmicks on stuff I do not want or need). Also, I have the concern if that this plays out til the 15th that I may get screwed on the Samsung gift of my choice and have to settle for a voucher. If that happens, I will be pretty hot! Any input on my questions or concerns would be appreciated!
