There business model has always been to get bodies in the store and hope we buy high margin accessories or other big ticket purchases. At least that's what the business model was when I worked there back in 2008 with the low prices CD's and DVD's.

Mine was the same until this morning . My card has now been charged, it is now in a preparing status, and the new agreement and terms have been loaded into my Sprint account. No shipping info yet, but hopefully that will change tomorrow! ??????

Sprint user here...I ordered mine (Grey) on the 24th, sometime in the early morning. I got shipping status yesterday. I will be getting the phone on Thursday. Shipment is with UPS.

I'm considering doing the same. Verizon said if I order today before 4 I'll have it before Friday. Best Buy is working my nerves.. $150 is hard to give up but they're making me so angry I'm like do I want to give them anymore of my dang time!

I am struggling with this same issue... do i want the phone sooner or do i want the $150???
It really only comes out to a $6 a month savings....

So my note is out for delivery. I almost called out from work so i can receive it. Its going to be a long day at work uugghhh.

me neither. I planned on paying it off anyway. $590 sounds so much better than $740... then this headache!
My order status says "preparing" on Best Buy's page, but when I called Verizon they say the status is "shipped," but they have no shipping details since the order was not through them. I'm wondering if Verizon just calls the order "shipped" once payment is processed by the reseller. Or perhaps Verizon is a step ahead of Best Buy? I don't know.

didn't want to order through BB, but Sprint forced it with their lease only policy.

I also pre-ordered in the store (8/25- Verizon - will do monthly plan payments) and was not given an option for online sign up and mail delivery. So pick up is where it stands now. For clarification, for those that ordered online and are seeing delivery movement are you getting the unlocked or going with a plan?
I have emailed and sent on twitter messages to BB for clarification on this raw deal for people like in my spoke and of course, no response. I may go into the local store today and see if I can switch my pre-order to online/mail delivery. I am really reluctant at this point to have to sit with a rep at pick-up now (I will not be a happy camper and will have absolutely no tolerance for salesman gimmicks on stuff I do not want or need). Also, I have the concern if that this plays out til the 15th that I may get screwed on the Samsung gift of my choice and have to settle for a voucher. If that happens, I will be pretty hot! Any input on my questions or concerns would be appreciated!

if you order online you receive online. cancelling at this point will delay further. I chose to delay by cancelling my CostCo order and going with BB.

I'm going to follow you if you don't mind. if you post any updates on your order I'll see . call them and bug them..
they choose to wait until the 15th.... their hands can't be tied if they're allowing the orders to start shipping. they're shipping now only because they'll lose business if they don't. I just got connected to the same person I spoke to a few days ago. she remembered me :|I'll certainly let you know what they tell me. I should have time to run up to the store in a few hours.
