BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Hey guys - I upgraded to the Note 8 from the S8+ (50% paid off). I contacted Verizon today on how to return my S8+ via their chat, and they said to return my S8+ to Best Buy (in store) since I bought the S8+ and Note 8 from them. This doesn't seem correct at all??? I thought the phone had to go back to Verizon.

Anyone have the scoop on how to return a phone to Verizon? I've been all over their website trying to find this.
 
Ordered in store for pickup on the 26th. Stopped in to BB on way home and canceled the order. The associate I talked with said that the online shipping before the 15th has put them in a rough spot since they aren't allowed to distribute before the 15th.

Came home and ordered one on Verizon's site ~4PM EDT. Just checked and the order is marked shipped and picked up by FedEx with a tracking number - scheduled for Friday by 8pm.
 
Venturing down the rabbit hole, did you guys also have your order show up on your myverizon account? Mine is as processing as well. I also have 'agreement documents' that I can see, but won't open. Just seems weird. The last time I worked with Best Buy my wife's phone was a bit messed up. If this gets screwed up again it'll be the last time I pre-order with them.

I upgraded through VZW app. I just got an email from them stating they will be sensing me a box in 7-10 days to ship to them. Confirmed on the phone with VZW rep that this is how I will return my current note 5 for upgrade.

Dude..Same exact thing for me. See above post. But you need to talk to someone in the mobile back office. I could see it in the my verizon app, There was the device agreement and a receipt. I clicked on it and it would open a new tab but be blank. Just like they said. A communication issue. But they have no way to resolve.

I'm seeing "processing" in my My Verizon account but haven't seen any agreement documents.
 
okay so my post is not showing up, if this is a duplicate i apologize.

I pre ordered my phone @ a bestbuy store on 8/24. its pretty clear that i am not getting the phone until the 15th. the $150 savings is worth it for me, I can be patient. however, I have seen several posts of people canceling and reordering from big red directly. My question is, has anyone tried to cancel the in store order and re order from bestbuy online? I am wondering if this will get the phone shipped out faster? if not ill wait just wondering if anyone has had success doing this.
 
Phone has been received and I'm working on registering through Samsung for the free gift. What does Samsung want as the proof of purchase receipt? The shipping summary from BB or email from BB?

I work out at BB. You do not return phones phones back to us.

When you upgraded, you should’ve received a shipping label to ship your phone back to Sprint. It would be in your documents, I believe.

For those that cancelled in store preorder, did you put a new order with your carrier online or with Best Buy online? I'm with Att, so I'm trying to weigh my options. TIA.
haven't canceled yet but I placed a new order through Verizon, I'm keeping whichever one comes first.. and right now Verizon is winning

Has anyone been successful with a Verizon trade-in after receiving the phone from BB? I am very skeptical that Verizon will allow the additional statement credit for the trade-in, and I would rather wait t hear of a success before signing up for $32.75 per month for the next 24 months.
 
Never again will I buy from best buy, I got a message to call them. They had trouble activating my phone so I called gave them all the info they needed, they called their att hot line and then told me it won't activate sorry we are cancelling your order.
