It is ridiculous. First BB experience and it sucks

I will never pre order from them again. Thankfully i canceled a couple days ago and said forget this crap but you are right. It sucks!

You did not read the previous posts, the guy pre ordered his Midnight Black Verizon note 8 yesterday but being delivered today is in Seattle, I am also in the Seattle area (with the same exact order but I ordered it weeks ago)... so that theory went out the window. They are basically not fulfilling earlier orders first. It sounds totally random on which orders they fill which is BS if you ask me.

I'm in CA and placed order online on 8/29 and it still shows as "In Progress" - so if there is stock here then it's not being shipped to me

you're right. someone posted that they are east coast-ish and theirs was shipped from CA. so yeah. ridiculous.

I called ups cause the shipment never showed up in myups like they always do and they said that Best buy hasn't released the manifest...so this maybe happening to more of you.

I don't do pre orders, I prefer to wait for user feedback before I purchase a new device.
Samsung and T-Mobile want $930 Verizon wants $960.
I'm considering going to T-Mobile but I'm not convinced their service is good enough.

From what I've read unlocked from Samsung on Verizon I would lose video calling, which I do not want to lose. I know there are other apps that would work, but others would have to have the same app vs using the built-in dialer.

Guess I'll be getting the Verizon model from best buy, at least it's $10 cheaper. I pay retail for my phones.

Just makes me nervous best buy isn't advertising the trade in promo like they are the $150 promo. Why not advertise it if it's true, that would help with their sales.

I just called the Best Buy Mobile 877 number posted above. It was explained to me that the timing of when your specific Note 8 ships depends more on your physical location than the date you pre-ordered.

I was told that there are many warehouses across the country and the warehouses ship to the customers as they receive the stock.

By that logic, it appears that the date anyone receives their order is really just luck of the draw...

I was told the same thing. Funny thing is I'm in Wisconsin and I have seen at least 2 people with phones shipping from Wisconsin to other states. Dumb

Yea I agree, that doesn't make any sense for it to ship from WI if you live in WA. I live in Seattle and it looks like mine was shipped overnight from the Tumwater, WA area...there appears to be no system in place, it's astonishing!

And some are overnited and others sent ground that need to go across the entire USA... Curious if costco/sams have handled their shipping this poorly? This will be the second and last preorder for me through BB

What Best Buy is doing makes absolutely no sense. Why would you punish people for ordering the phone they way you would prefer they order it, for in-store pickup. They want you to come to the store so they can have one last shot at selling Geek Squad, sell a case, selling any accessory. Instead now everyone gets their phones shipped out and the in-store crew is stuck with their phones collecting dust at the store.

I agree 100% sucks too I'm one of those people waiting....

So I canceled and reordered. I had some concerns about shipping it to my office. Couldn't make any changes and I also changed the color to black and I changed from my debit card to my cc now this order should be bomb proof.

In your excitement to make a post you missed that I discussed and answered someone already a few days ago after that post you quoted me on.

I also got the same deal from Verizon and typing this on my note 8 now.

I would like to thank everyone here who spent countless hours tracking down their and mine lost child. It is crazy how we become so focused on certain things in our lives. I understand the feeling of not having the new phone but I took a moment to think of how I could of been more productive instead of updating this forum 100 times a day. I know the answer to that question but I guess technology has us trapped. My child has been found lmao, fedex delivered her today. Now on to spending countless hours setting her up. Good luck to those that are still waiting.

PS. I canceled my in store preorder. Went outside, sat in my car and reordered BB online. This was yesterday, by grace I received it today.

I cancelled my bestbuy preorder today. They said that they have the phones but will not release them until the 15th. I went to my verizon store and got next day shipping. My baby note will be there tomorrow morning!

Working to cancel my order as I type this. Plan to order through verizon with next day. This hastle isn't worth the savings of 6.75/mo. Last time I pre-order with them. Second time they have messed up my account with Verizon.
