BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Hello Note Family,

I was in the same boat that.......with the purchase and for those of you who don't have yours yet I am sorry you have to put up with BB's excuses for another 2 days but know it's worth the wait in the end! I have been a BB customer for a very long time and never again will I deal with them for anything.

You should go back to the store and show the jerk you got your phone.. then ask if they have any accessories...but don't buy anything..LOL
 
Wtf i ordered day one, where is my email?

What time zone are you in? I'm wondering if those who are getting e-mails are all in EST. So it's after BB opens at 10AM local and local employees are starting to scan in phones for pre-order fulfilment?

I'm in CST, so I'm crossing my fingers that my e-mail will show up sometime in the next few hours... else I'll swing by over lunch anyway. :-D
 
Well - Best Buy has disappointed me yet again with this whole fiasco. This morning I received the email that my in-store ordered in-store pickup Note 8 was ready for pickup and proceeded to the store to finish this. When I got there the (rude) guy at the cell phone counter said that the note 8 isn't released until tomorrow, to which I replied that Best Buy probably shouldn't be sending out emails that say the phones are ready. His snark reply was that "You can take that up with customer service I don't have anything to do with the emails." I would have taken it up with the manager, but I've gotten the feeling that this is an effort in futility at this point.

I'm never planning on going through this with Best Buy again.... Come soon tomorrow... Come soon...
 
No Note 8 today Said email sent by mistake. This is getting ridiculous. Have 8am appointment tomorrow. I am done with best buy. Other people there also.
 
I made an appointment for Friday 8am pickup, but I just received an email, Wednesday night, stating that my device is ready for p/u. By the time I seem my email, the store had closed for the day. I surely hope it's ready! I'm planning to call 1st thing in the morning to see what they say. Fingers crossed!!!

This happened with the S8 launch too... we were not able to get hem early however. LOL

But I wish you good luck in getting it today.
 
Yep unfortunately my Best Buy also said even though we got email still can’t get until tomorrow. So much for that
 
Critical error for that e-mail to go out , who ever enteted that in the sysyem should be instantly canned
 
Yea... but what I don't understand is this has happened on several launches... best buy is $150 cheaper for a reason..LOL

I am still holding out for a sale or BOGO, as my daughter wants the Note 8 as well. I have a few months left on the S8 plus 50% upgrade plan, or pay $150 and that gets me to the 50% for an upgrade which I am willing to do.

Has anyone looked on Verizon to confirm the Note 8 is eligible for the pay 50% and upgrade program?
 
Man, you all had me excited when I saw that first post about emails going out saying pickup is ready. what a roller coaster!
 
Yup I was just about to post this. We just got an email stating it was an error and we still can't release until tomorrow. :(

Best Buy needs to be taking care of it's customers as a result of this whole mess. This is not the kind of launch that Samsung intended....
 
Hell, BestBuy messes these thing up. They even only charged me S8 price for my S8 plus...LOL

Mine is still preparing and says delivery by Friday. Unless they are planning to overnight all these phones I don’t think I’ll be seeing it tomorrow.
 
I am a patient person release date is 9/15. So if I do not get my Note 8 until tomorrow no harm no foul. But if I was able to get it a day early that would be a bonus.
