BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

They didn't. Asked for my mobile number, my name, and my Verizon PIN again and said it should be taken care of. She said at best a day, at most 5 days. I figure if they haven't resolved it by Friday I'm going to cancel and just go straight through Verizon.

Thats exactly what they told me and the information they asked me..Then i called back a few hours later and they said they were not sure why they asked or that info..lol

Check Verizon first to make sure they don't go to back order status. The s8 plus went on back order.
 
Mine still shown as preparing as well. Been like that for two days.

Same :( I called best buy last night and he said he could see on his end that it was packaged and ready for pick up and as soon as it was picked up I'd get my tracking number.

Same here, and my Cancel button has been grayed out for two days now as well.
 
Any one else's IMEI on the phone and Note 8 box not match the included Best Buy receipt?
 
So I've been cruising this thread and looking for answers for my in-store pre order at BB...I hit the store as it opened today ready to raise hell, however, I was met by some really sympathetic employees who listened to my issues and began working diligently.
Upon speaking to the store manager, I was told to stand by on canceling and reordering as the manager had a conference call and it was about my particular issue. They said they would call me in about +/- an hour with the results of the phone conference.
The employee seemed confident in-store preorders would be getting an early release...
Here's hoping...I'll try to post after I get the call or if I have to call back.
 
Got a UPS tracking number for my unlocked, midnight black Note 8! Waiting for UPS Pick-up so I can get estimated delivery date.

I just got out of my local best buy. Cancelled Verizon pre-order pick up and then went online and placed the order to ship. No problems, took 5 minutes. They told me that they are sitting on a dozen devices and that it was likely that one of mine would be shipped out from the store tomorrow and could have it as early as Saturday. If not first thing next week. Now that would certainly change if they now change their mind and start filling pre-order pickups first over mine! Then I will be really unhappy! Lol
 
Finally got tracking for unlocked model via online!

Well it's not confirmed yet, so you might still be good...I was planning on doing the same, but I was told to stand by, I was in at 10am cst, if I don't hear anything by noon, I'm calling back and if that doesn't go well, I'll be headed in to do what you did...
