BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Just got off the phone with my local Best Buy. They are not releasing today because it was "only in certain circumstances". I pushed him and he admitted it was because of the email that people received but they are not following and are not releasing until tomorrow. They are also not opening early at all and didn't confirm if they even had my note. What BS this whole thing has been. Maybe I need to just go up there and make a scene, because I have had enough.

Did u get the email? If so, get over there and demand your Note 8. THEY sent the email so they need to honor it.

The phone is in a box. It's just wrapped in a BB "security bag" that they use when they check you out.

I like this plan! I didn't get the email but how are some stores now going to hand them out and some aren't? The blame before was placed on Samsung not allowing stores to sell. That has CLEARLY gone out the window now so this is easily Best Buys problem at this point. I have gone through the anger of watching everyone get it in the mail WAY early to the hopefulness that they would release in-store early this week to the acceptance it would be Friday. I am back in full pissed off mode now though because people are walking out of stores now with phones in hand. Done with the lies...

Pick-up should usually be a fun experience. I feel for not only all of you that waited this long but also the BB front line reps that will have some impatient and frustrated people showing up today and tomorrow.

Finally received the shipping notification. Ready for UPS pickup. Tracking number doesn’t show the arrival date but being shipped ground. So won’t be seeing it tomorrow. Disappointing.

I'm glad that people are getting their awesome phones!!!

I ordered the Note 8 on September 7, the unlocked black version, and they still won't ship mine. I've called Best Buy every single day this week and no one will do anything about my order. One supervisior said Samsung wouldn't let them release the unlocked version, but I called Samsung and they sait it wasn't true.

Still...no phone. :-(

Strange ordered blk unlocked on the 7th slowely in rought on schedule for delivery tomorrow

I just called my local Best Buy. They are only letting people get their Note 8 today if they got an email directly from Samsung saying it is the final decision of our store manager. Oh well as long as I get it tomorrow.

I called the local store again and started by saying I just wanted to confirm that my order was available for pickup after checking with the phone number and their automated system it said "ready for customer pickup". He said release is tomorrow and I told him others are getting the phone from your stores, the release date has changed on the website, and the system told me mine was ready for pickup as well. He said "I understand that, the release is tomorrow". I told him that didn't make sense and that I wanted to talk to the manager. After a brief hold he said if I had the email I could come get it but without it release is tomorrow. I repeated the fact it said ready for pickup when I called and that didn't make sense with all the other facts laid out and I would still like to talk to the manager. The kid replies "he can't talk right now, he is on the floor helping a customer with their new Note 8". LoL amazing stuff!

Just called BB, my store issuing N8 today! Only thing if there is a line I will have to wait, but if I go in tomorrow at my scheduled time at 8am, I am guaranteed p/u at that time.

Ordered my wifes Verizon Orchid Grey on 9/11 and got shipping notification just now. The site originally said Orchid Grey would ship by 9/29/17.

She should be happy, I got my Verizon Black on 9/12.

False alarm for me today as well. I received a call a few hours later where the BB rep said sorry for the e-mail and that my phone would be ready tomorrow.

What time zone are you in? I'm wondering if those who are getting e-mails are all in EST. So it's after BB opens at 10AM local and local employees are starting to scan in phones for pre-order fulfilment?

I'm in CST, so I'm crossing my fingers that my e-mail will show up sometime in the next few hours... else I'll swing by over lunch anyway. :-D

Im in AZ pac time zone currently. Just taked to BB. They have the phone. Wont release it until tomorrow. Said they will call me tonight to set up an apt. What a backwards system. Good news is my UAG case came in, things a beast. So at least ill have protection immidiately.
