BestBuy: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Went this morning. My 512 blue unlocked pre-order wasn't there. Within 200 miles the system only showed 1x 512 unit was even delivered to a best buy.

My phone will be free with best buy gift cards and trade in credits, so I'm locked in....

Oh well.

My phone order status shows "being prepared"

I got an email last night that said "shipment delay". Chatted to a rep that said they've got them in stock and I could still expect it by today (I highly doubted that). Chatted to another today to be told that they don't have any unlocked blue 512GBs in stock, the currently expected date is September 22nd............. No store in 250+ miles of me has any in stock.

I'm slightly shocked as I ordered mine the minute the preorder went live, the phone system actually considers my order from the 9th instead of the 10th... I miss wanting phones no one cares about, had no problems getting an iPhone SE on launch day, or a Q10, hell I even picked up my first Note (a Note II) on launch day from a store!

Folks, Verizon as example, yet alone Best Buy are out of 512s now. I'm willing to bet carriers will take the retailer's allocation not already shipped forward, because they can. This is their own product, using retailers as selling agents.

If you do not have one on the way already, might be a while.

My 512 switched to “preparing “. That’s gotta be a good thing. Right?

Hopefully you have better luck. I just talked to Best Buy they told me "We have no inventory, we are trying to secure more."

My brother in law got when Best Buy opened this morning. 512GB Blue ATT model. It came with a SIM card and instructions on how to activate.
