BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

Yes but I am not going to get it anytime soon! I mean if Samsung's site says ships by 4/9 now for pink than I don't think BB will get one anytime soon. My husbands white unlocked is fine with Sprint. Only choice I have is to sell my phone outright and I listed it on CL and FB Marketplace so will see what happens. If I sell it outright than I'll just buy a white one on Amazon. My husband's trade-in got received Friday afternoon but who knows when it will get approved cause I would rather go through Samsung they're still doing $550 and there site for white says ship by 3/28. But I'm not counting on anything happening anytime soon with Best Buy. I will never pre-order from them again.

I can order pink through Sprint now online. With unlocked it's called Bring Your Own Device and no activation fee. They charge $30 bucks to swap phones now used to be 36 activation now they call it upgrade. I thought I got something in the mail saying our insurance was going up from 11 - 13 bucks it says were paying 15. And a chat lady just told me the s10 plus is a tier 5 phone and that it's 19 bucks now for insurance because of price of phone. It's Crazy! But anyway I need to sell my phone before I can do anything whether it's pink Sprint or white unlocked Amazon.

Than the Samsung chat said promotion over 4/4 for buds and I was trying to find out if if still get them even if I get my phone late and she kept saying call us and we'll help you register them. But never actually said if they would honor the promotion or not. And best buy sent me $25 gift card so now I have 225 in gift cards. It sucks!

I know you're frustrated but if you happen to find ANY unlocked phone from Best Buy right now and activate it on Sprint you'll get $650 off...ish. I took a screen cap of their unlocked trade in page and their deal specifically says for Sprint activation with an unlocked phone.

Well you do what you think is best. Its gonna take them 4 to 6 weeks before I even get an email for the 130 dollar certificate it said. Your gonna wait even longer for the buds. It's up to you to decide what you want to do if you want to keep waiting or not. If you want the pink from sprint I would jump on it as soon as they come out so you can get one for sure

Best Buy still does the trade in. I was so frustrated with no Flamingo pink stock and finally caved in and got the black one from a nearby Best Buy yesterday (someone didn’t pick it up for the preorder and it was released for sale) and got 550 for the s9 plus trade in. And also approved for the 130 gift card from Samsung. So may be check in Best Buy again; most of the time their folks don’t have any idea about trade in or technical stuff of the product.

None of the Best Buy stores know if and when the pink will be in stock and so I decided to go with it. And I had a 10% back on Best Buy credit card too and didn’t want to lose that and the earbuds offer. Best Buy folks mentioned that earbuds was a Samsung offer and they wouldn’t compensate if I happened to miss out due to delays.

So even though you switched colors you still got approved for the buds? Did you take a picture of your pre-order paper? Cause I called Samsung asking about if I don't get my phone by 4/4 will they still honor the trade-in. They said if it's due to the phone being back-ordered yes and I said but if I cancel and switch colors I lose out and he said something about IMEI number needs to match your pre-order.

But my Best Buy said same no idea when pink will be in and I really want unlocked like my husband even though I can have a Sprint one by the end of the week. But like I said I would have to sell my phone outright. Also Best Buy guy said it's showing their distribution center has 9 blue ones and that they will probably get sent to the stores by the end of the week and I can just cancel and get a blue one. He said he had people who didn't pre-order and just came in and bought during the time frame and are getting the buds and I should still be able to get them.

I thought the 650 was for if you were leasing or doing the Sprint Flex something for 2 years. Plus Sprint doesn't charge an activation fee for unlocked phones it's called Bring Your Own Device so I really wouldn't need them to activate it but I would take the sim card if not Sprint gave me mine the last time and helped me when I got my S9 plus from Best Buy. I just hate to make 2 trips. Need to find out exactly about the 650 deal.

It's 550 for the trade in and an additional 100 if you did the Sprint lease. If you get the phone anywhere other than Samsung, you should be able to submit the paperwork for the buds or ecertificate at this point.

But I really need to of sold my s9 plus 1st. I just have been going crazy and yes I really wanted pink but was going to just probably get a blue one since they had 9 here in town at the distribution center if I hadn't sold my S9 plus to get Pink from Sprint or White unlocked from Amazon which was really my next choice. My husbands is unlocked so I really wanted the same if we were to ever switch.

So anyway thanks for listening and sorry for all my rants but I just checked my email to see if any Craigs Lister's wrote me back. I had a few responses but I think their scammers and when I went to check my email guess what I saw OMG OMG I am so excited. My phone is here and it's my last day off of vacation. OMG OMG am I excited or what LOL! I am headed to Best Buy right now I called to make sure and it's there.

It's very frustrating! I am going to see if the manager will compensate me like last year I got a free case. It was some 60 dollar thing Best Buy was giving away with the phones and they ran out so he said pick a case out no more than $60. But I am going to check out the active watch while I am there and maybe get it and try to get a discount LOL! My husband wants my Gear S3. But I am headed to pick up phone now. I guess don't give up Samsung did tell me today he was starting to see pink ones shipped out. So maybe by the end of the week you others will get yours. Good Luck!
