BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

It's very frustrating! I am going to see if the manager will compensate me like last year I got a free case. It was some 60 dollar thing Best Buy was giving away with the phones and they ran out so he said pick a case out no more than $60. But I am going to check out the active watch while I am there and maybe get it and try to get a discount LOL! My husband wants my Gear S3. But I am headed to pick up phone now. I guess don't give up Samsung did tell me today he was starting to see pink ones shipped out. So maybe by the end of the week you others will get yours. Good Luck!

Yes I am not doing any sprint lease! And I know you guys are tired of my long sad stories but I just went to Sprint and it says I can order a pink one by 2pm and have it tomorrow. But I really need to of sold my s9 plus 1st. I just have been going crazy and yes I really wanted pink but was going to just probably get a blue one since they had 9 here in town at the distribution center if I hadn't sold my S9 plus to get Pink from Sprint or White unlocked from Amazon which was really my next choice. My husbands is unlocked so I really wanted the same if we were to ever switch.

So anyway thanks for listening and sorry for all my rants but I just checked my email to see if any Craigs Lister's wrote me back. I had a few responses but I think their scammers and when I went to check my email guess what I saw OMG OMG I am so excited. My phone is here and it's my last day off of vacation. OMG OMG am I excited or what LOL! I am headed to Best Buy right now I called to make sure and it's there.

Yes I switched colors and still approved for gift card.. looks like buds allotted for preorders ran out of stock. As for IMEI matching that’s wrong. How on earth can anyone ave an IMEI when preordering. That’s not possible unless you have the phone box in hand.

And unfortunately pink came in stock in the store I preordered and anyways I picked it up for my wife to upgrade from S9 plus. Again traded in for 550 today.

I am on the phone with Samsung now and they are asking for my IMEI number. Their the ones that told me the other day something about the IMEI number needing to match your preordered phone I have no idea. But for some reason my submission didn't go through I got rejected and the Best Buy Samsung Rep said oh it's because your Best Buy account and your Samsung account are different emails. He said to call Samsung and tell them and they can join them together and get me accepted. I just got off the phone and they asked for my IMEI and Wi Fi Mac Address and said I will get an email within 5 days and they will manually process and that they will send me a link to upload my pre-order receipt. I have no idea but she said I would qualify. I was told buds were out and I would get gift certificate.

Does your wife like it? I am still setting mine up logging into apps and I need to configure settings but otherwise I am good to go everything is back. And I love my phone and will not complain LOL! But it is lighter than the 9 plus and I have to get used to holding it glad I got popsockets they make the best kickstands.

I got the Watch Active. LOVE IT!!!

Well I saw it today realized the isn't the one I want. I want the Galaxy Watch that came out after the Gear S3 they make 2 different ones a big one and a smaller one and I want the smaller one and then my husband can have my S3 which is too big. He got 25 to Samsung so maybe I'll order from them. But for now I just used my whole $225 worth of gift cards towards the phone. I forgot Best Buy had sent me $25 for my troubles LOL! So I got this phone for like $272 I did good.

Hope the rest of you get yours soon! It's a really pretty phone and I love all the lock screen pictures and I am leaving it on the wallpaper background that it was on matches the phone. I may not use any themes.

So I guess I'm the only one having troubles with things loading still? I love this phone but if I'm not on wifi nothing wants to load even with 5 bars.

What do u mean by load? If u mean clicking on an article and it takes forever to load then I'm not having that issue so far. I got my phone today the at&t variant and everything is butter for me so far

Like websites says it cant load or takes a couple minutes to load the whole page. Or like I'll use some apps and it will not load or takes a few minutes to load them with perfect signal. Sometimes it will tell me it cant load pages or apps because I have no connection but I have 5 bars so it dorsnt make sense.

Sounds like an issue with the phone if u have done the factory reset and clearing the cache process and it still persists. I'm with at&t and I've been having no issues except for the fingerprint sensor but I'm getting better wit it now tho

Mine was telling me something about connection or server error earlier when I 1st got home and was on my wifi. I forgot what I was doing but I rebooted phone and updated prl and profile but I have been fine ever since. I even just turned off wifi and opened a couple apps and surfed the web and it was fine.

Yes my wife loves it.. she wanted one after she saw the s10 plus in my hand. I told we will wait for the pink one from Best Buy and if we don’t get it then let’s order from Samsung. She was so lucky and got the phone a day after she wanted it

And here it took me over 3 weeks and my best buy said they still have 30 pre-orders to fill. I feel for these people cause I wanted my phone so bad. And I am so glad I got it yesterday on my last day of vacation. I want to be so careful with it at work and make sure nothing is in my pocket with the phone and when I put it in my purse I need to be careful. I kind of want a pouch for the phone while it's in the case to not scratch up the protector. LOL!

But anyway good luck to the rest of you in getting your phones. And the Pink really is beautiful. My husband likes my Spigen clear glitter case the best showing off the phone. I'm gonna put my other pop socket on their. I bought 2 swappable ones and I have 3 cases might have to get one more.

Weird but I just went to updates and it said couldn't download update unable to update the software. A network or server error occurred please try again later. I think that is what I got yesterday when I 1st got home with phone.

Edit: I just tried it again and it says I'm up to date. Isn't their supposed to be an update for the fps? I haven't set it up yet and I am on security patch for Feb. So the error message went away. I don't have it set to auto download on wifi.

Yeah I read something like that supposedly theres a update coming out today. But how do I really know it's not just a crappy phone I got. And I only have so many days to return it so they need to hurry with this update so I can see if that's the problem or not. Shouldn't they have tested this stuff. It's so annoying that things wont load. On break at work there's like no point in doing anything with my phone cause its hit or miss.

So you finally got your phone? How do you like it?

Well I haven't had much time to play with it. But I think it's finally set up the way I want it and I've logged into all my apps. I need to tweak some settings but I love it the screen is awesome it's really fast.

I'm still unsure about the battery and people say it takes about a week of usage. All my stuff came back from the backup except I think my edge screen wasn't the same which is no big deal and then I messed up my watch and thought it backed up and I had to reset my watch and start over but other than that everything's great. I love the color, I love my cases with the new popsocket I've never used those before. It's just so easy to hold my phone and swipe or talk to text now LOL! This phone is lighter than my 9 plus so I'm scared and trying to be so careful with it.
