BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

i only bought a preorder phone from bestbuy once and that was with the s7... i bought it for full retail at the time and actually got it the day it came out...i didnt trade it my previous phone so that wasnt an issue everything ran smooth just had to pick up my phone...it even came with those virtual reality set glasses...i never did a preorder without paying for it.. so im hoping its smooth also for my s10... i preordered at bestbuy and didnt put any money down... i did tell them im a trade in my s8 and they said i should get 300... they gave me physical copies of my receipt and gave me 1 order confirmation email but i cant check my order status on my bestbuy account online

Anyone know if there is a way to buy through Best Buy if you are on a AT&T Premier account? Looks like you can no longer just purchase outright without putting in contract info

I've had monumental disasters with Best Buy phone orders twice. Never again. I don't mean to be negative, but don't expect your phone anytime soon.

Best Buy is notorious for offering sweet pre-order deals and stringing you along until close to the release date only to change their story and pick up date late in the game. They over promise and under deliver.

I won't go into details here, but I can't tell you how many disgruntled customers I've seen along with myself for those 2 orders. I shouldn't have even have given them a second chance, but I did. I will never give them a third.

I regret preordering a bit early. Bestbuy was the one who gave a shipping date earlier than that offered by samsung itself. I can keep an order with samsung as a backup I guess. Sucks that we dont get the earbuds.

I guess I had the wrong phone number linked to my account so they updated it and I can see all 3 phones in my order history. March 8th pickup.

I still can't see my order in the order history, I'll go check later tonight and see why it doesn't show up. May be phone number or something is not linked up correctly like yours.

If you pre ordered in store, in most cases it's not going to show on your BB account.

This is how I did it:

I was able to get my BB pre-orders to show up on my Order History page. Sign out of your account, select Order History as a Guest, enter your order number, name, etc. It then gives you the option to sign in and add the order to your account. Hope that helps some of you.

I have never traded in a phone to best buy. Will I need my original charger or do I just trade in my phone? Also is it ok if I remove the sim card? I really do not want to leave that in the phone.

Yeah you can remove the sim card, and it's just the phone.

There's always gonna be people who have a rough time. I've pre-ordered multiple Samsung phones from Best Buy in the past and I've always gotten them day 1 with no issues. One year I even got it early.

To do the trade in, all you need is the phone itself. Nothing else whatsoever

Got you bud. I just hope I get it soon. Missed the March 8th but now on track for 15th from Bestbuy compared to 22nd from Samsung. The rep told me that I may get it earlier than the 15th, so crossing my fingers for that. Man, I never thought this would be so nerve wrecking. lol I have been getting new phones on the day of release easily from Dubai, but its a whole different game here in the US.

I've also had very bad luck with BB in the past. I also can't say that I have had better with Samsung Direct either.

Mine just says order received we will email you when ready for pick up. I've never known to get early from Best Buy I've always been told you have to wait for release date but I would love to get it on the 6th or 7th and then be able to stay in all day on the 8th playing with it and setting it up. I have to empty my 64 card now and then take pictures off the internal cause my card is full and my internal is too now it's crazy. I want to have my 256 card ready to go with just some ringtones and pictures on it that I want to keep from the 9 plus to the new phone in a folder.

Yes, they get them in the week before and prepare them ahead of time for pickup.

Best chance to get the phone early is to order shipped to you but nothing is a guarantee
