BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

I ordered in store but the 1800 number looked up my order and tired to help me. But they don't know when the trucks will actually really be in. I just keep being told as soon as the truck comes in you'll get an email. So if not tomorrow from tonight's truck maybe by Friday on that delivery who knows. I just hope the manager compensates me again like last year I got a free case. Maybe he can knock 50 bucks off the duo charger or something. I will not order from Best Buy again!

That is not how it goes. Once a truck comes in, the items on the truck is individually scanned and added to the stores inventory. Then the items and/or phones in this case, is taken over to Mobile. Then the Mobile department or designee, has to go through the pre-orders in the system and attach each device to a specific pre-order. After that happens, then an email is shot out to the customer for pickup.

When i worked for our big best Buy, We received shipments in every Wednesday night around 10p. Sometimes on Fridays too.

Oh really well thanks! Seems like I get told different things but my store said they get trucks in Mon Wed & Fri. But on-line none were available and now I can have a blue one in store by Fri or a black one shipped to my house by Sat. White was really my 2nd choice but I hate to give up on my pre-order and lose out on the buds. And I don't know if the $550 trade in would still apply. If the store were to maybe give me a gift card for losing out on the buds I may consider cancelling and getting a different color My husband says just wait it out but the pink is so popular and on Samsung now it says shipped by 4/5.
 
After reading your posts the other day Rose4uky, I placed a separate order from Samsung. They said I could send it back in 14 days or refuse the package if the BB one came in. But it's still a 4/5 ship date.... so we will see. At this rate, I might end up going with the fold. I think preorders start next week. I have given up on the head phones.

Nope and I've bothered my store enough LOL! But the 1-800 recording said something about an email and having your phone within 7 days I don't know Mine still just says we will email you when available. I never had a date to begin with it didn't even say 3/8. I should of noticed and questioned when I pre-ordered and they should of said oh want to try a different color and I would of done white.

I don't even know if they really got a truck in tonight or not and the next truck is Friday. It's just crazy! They say this is their best pre-order ever in 10 years and they didn't expect it to be this good. I don't know. My friend who didn't pre-order was told at her T-Mobile store today May or June.
 
I pre ordered my Galaxy S10+ 512 GB in Ceramic White from Best Buy on March 2. I received an email today with an estimated availability/pick up date of March 29. Having never pre ordered anything from them before, I almost went to the store to pick up my phone on the release date. I would have been waiting in line a LONG time! Better late than never, unless I decide to wait even longer and get something else!

Better late than never, unless I decide to wait even longer and get something else!

I preordered march 3rd and I have no date on when I'm gonna get mine. I've never preordered a phone. Idk if I would ever preorder again since they dont know anything and lie

I pre-ordered an unlocked white 128gb S10 on March 1st at Best Buy. They told me it would be there for the March 8th pick up.
It wasn't there on the 8th or the 9th so I called another nearby Best Buy and they had a blue and black unlocked S10 128gb available so we went there and I got the blue.
I was still able to use the original pre-order for the white S10 and got approved for the buds (submitted on the 9th and approved on the 11th). So you could still qualify.
I didn't cancel my pre-order so I would wait until you're approved for the buds first.

Yeah I just got the same email. Pretty upsetting
 
Received mine yesterday. Blue 128gb Verizon model. Very impressive. But I'm coming from a pixel 2xl so my learning curve going back to samsung is taking longer than I had thought it would. Alot of features and settings than what the pixel provides.

One thing I wanted to point out. If you are thinking of trading in, and the phone you are trading in may not be pristine you may want to trade it in to your carrier.

So I had a Samsung galaxy S7 edge with a cracked screen. Best buy was only going to give me 13.00 on the trade in. They told me to go to Verizon and trade it in, no purchase necessary. Just trade it in. They have me 67.50 for the phone and took the amount off my bill. They would also give you store credit in the form of an e gift card.

I didn't know you can do that with old phones. I was expecting only 50 bucks or so.
 
I got my email last night saying my white unlocked phone would be here on the 28th. Wow. I hope this ends up being one of those cases where they push the delivery date way out and it comes in earlier than expected. From the sounds of this thread it seems more likely to be the opposite.
 
Got my Verizon prism black s10+ 128gb last night and my ear buds will ship on the week of 4/29.

Wow! That late? I still havent got my phone. A white 128 S10+. At this point, Im just done with Bestbuy. I think they are screwing with me for fun.
 
Anyone know what happens if you trade in a phone and then end up returning the phone during the return period? Do they give you a gift card for your old phone or how does that work?

You will not get your phone back but you will get a best buy gift card instead. Say the phone cost is $1000 and trade in is $550, so you paid $450 with your card. On return you will get refunded the $450 back to your original card and the remaining you get as a gift card. Obviously minus the restocking fee.
 
I've been watching this thread for about a week now. I'm in the same boat as many of you. I preordered a galaxy s10+ prism white for sprint on 03/02. I still havent gotten my phone and no one can give me a clear answer on when I'd be getting it. I was told it would be here on the 15th but they cant promise me that because they dont know what is on the truck. I did message Best Buy through Facebook, I complained and they gave me a $25 gift voucher. So maybe some of you could at least take advantage of that as some compensation. Hopefully I will be receiving a pick up email tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞
 
My husband pre-ordered a Black Unlocked 128gb s10+ on 3/7. We received the 'In Progress' acknowledgement email with a pickup date on 3/15. I never thought we would receive it. I mean really, he ordered it on the 7th!

Our location had a large pre-order amount. They hadn't received enough inventory to cover the pre-orders & had called other locations in the state hoping for phones. I stopped at Best Buy on Tuesday to pickup a movie & thought I'd check. The staff looked frazzled. They said Best Buy had started drop shipping the phones. Wednesday we had a blizzard blow through the city...what a mess. Trees blown over & downed power lines. So I was really shocked that early this Thursday morning, I received the 'your phone is ready to pick-up' email. (Through a blizzard & one day early.:eek:)

So my husband has his phone (received the 550.00 trade in for his s9) & the earbuds are pending review. I had to submit the paperwork through the app.

My heart goes out to all of you still waiting, especially Rose! Hang in there.

**Update: My Husbands Earbuds were approved, shipment is scheduled for the week of May 6th.
