Bionic's still coming, is defintely new hardware - XT875

The MDB=moto droid bionic the 228 is like #228 made not the model number. Not saying this is real but maybe read through his posts and you would know what you are talking about.

I'm pretty sure my post was obviously in complete agreement with his.. Don't know where you are coming off as if I said anything wrong?? Are you the forum police now ship? I am fully aware of what mdb228 means and its not the model number as many sites have been quoted saying.

Well you did say how everyone will agree with anything on the internet without doing research. All i was saying was that it wasnt talking about the phone model number which from your post seemed to be implying.

Precisely. I've read through the posts you're referring to. That's why I understand that MDB228 ISN'T the "model number". My point was that in the article that was posted above, whoever wrote that article stated:

This tweet is one of many from @MDB228, the model number of the Motorola DROID Bionic

Clearly, as the title of this whole thread would suggest, the Motorola model number for the new Bionic is XT875.

It has been speculated the tweet is a fake due to the account is following individuals familiar to us. Not because of the individuals it is following, but the fact it is following anyone.

I have eaten some crow in my time but I am not buying stock in those tweets.

Well the Official Motorola Twitter account is Following individuals familiar.
Does that make it not an official site?

Twitter

I do not know if it is true or not and I will not make a judgement on it either way. I just wish people leave it alone and just wait and see.. People are so quick to past judgement!!! The truth will come out either way!!!

We need to stop feeding the Madness!!!

I was doing some really hard thinking.. And I'm will going to wait for the bionic even if it comes out in september. It's the ONLY dual core 4g phone on verizon. If I wasn't living in a 4g area I probably would of got the d3 a while back.

If it releases in September my decision will be based on the amount of SGSII leaks or possibly another phone.

I agree with you. If it gets pushed back until sept and there are alot of rumors about the sgs2 and maybe even other phones I most likely will wait and test them all out.

Does the Motorola DROID Bionic have its own Twitter account? - Phone Arena

It has become a tradition of sorts for Motorola and Verizon to send out tweets from the @DroidLanding Twitter account prior to the launch of a brand new DROID handset. And usually, the tweets from the site lead to a contest that offers up free units of the soon-to launch model. However, with the Motorola DROID Bionic soon to launch, a series of curious tweets have been sent out from an account named @MDB228.

It turns out that this is the model number of the DROID Bionic and in the tweets are hints of certain features that will be on the handset. For example, one tweet says that its 1900mAh battery helps give it the energy it needs to stay awake as the unit can't afford to sleep with so many landings ahead of it. The message here is clear. If this account is legitimate, Motorola/Verizon will be once again using the fabled DroidLanding site to promote a contest. And as in the past, we would expect free Motorola DROID Bionic handsets to be the prize.

This tweet is one of many from @MDB228, the model number of the Motorola DROID Bionic

Other tweets from @MDB228 include intriguing clues to a possible launch such as one dated July 22nd that reads, "T-Minus 1,166,400". Other tweets sent say things such as "Netflix will be important with my new webtop abilities... Be prepared." Of course, there is always the chance that this is someone's idea of a joke and we would advise that the messages be taken with a grain of salt rice.

If there is an absolute truth, it is that eventually the Motorola DROID Bionic will be launched. The latest information that we have reported to you is that it will happen on August 4th. Until then, there is no harm in keeping an eye on the @MDB228 Twitter account by clicking on the sourcelink. There, you can not only read all of the messages supposedly sent by the eagerly awaited handset, but you can also keep watching for the rules of the contest that we expect will soon follow.

But I'm stuck with my tb for 2 more years. :( I was afraid that if I waited for (bionic I would have lost unlimited data. I think I would have been grandfathered if I waited but who knew?

If it is pushed back til September, I will very likely be joining the Galaxy S2 group. I will test out them both and be sure. It's really up to if 4G makes enough difference and if it does, how long does that battery last.

Ugh. Well whenever it will be released, I need to stop worrying about it and just let the phone come out when its ready.

I'm right there with you all joining the SGS2 if this phone gets pushed back, though LTE hasn't rolled out in my neck of the woods ( my VZW rep told me November when my area will see LTE). Battery life and 4g LTE is my priority deciding factors when it comes to the new phones coming out but as of right now that SGS2 Function Forum is looking more friendly as the days go by

It would be nice if 4G was selectable. Then if the download or access was not that much of a priority we could turn it off and go 3G.

To the people saying they might get the GS2 instead of the Bionic, if the Bionic does get pushed to September, I don't see them releasing the GS2 anytime soon unless its 3G only.
