Bricked LG G2, Stuck at TWRP, No Download mode!

Hi, I need a saviour. I was running root on the stock 4.4.2 KitKat ROM. I later installed Autorec and TWRP then used TWRP to successfully install CloudyG3 ROM. After rebooting I realized that my files were still present whereas I wanted a clean ROM. Being half awake, rebooted into TWRP and cleaned Dalvik Cache and /system.

On rebooting, the phone is now stuck on LG Logo. It doesn't have the option of getting into download mode. Even when I charge it, it doesn't show the download meter, it goes straight to the LG Logo and the notification light blinks in blue and cyan colours alternately.

How can I get out of this? :'( Frustrated human!

After a Dalvik Cache clear, let the phone sit for AT LEAST 10 minutes - it has to rebuild the cache. When it gets to the homescreen, let it sit for an additional 5 minutes.

Assuming you've done that, and it still sits at the LG logo after an hour or so, it depends on how badly bricked the phone is. If you can get to TWRP, install a ROM (from a zip, not one you backed up). If not, and you can't get to download mode, you may need a JTAG service to stuff the stock ROM into the phone. They advertise on eBay.

Everything worked with the type command, i had try to install system update (4.4.2, rooted, twrp installed) and it stucked at twrp loop..
go to advanced>terminal command>press select>type the command from the first page hit reboot>system and you get everything back and still asking you to update system in notification menu, look up for how to safely install system updates..thanks a lot!

Just wanted to clear up some confusion for some of us who may not yet be at expert level when it comes to trying to unbrick your LG G2. First of all, this solution works and is very easy to do if you know how to use the Terminal Command in TWRP Recovery. When you select Terminal Command from the TWRP menu, it will look like a file manager. There is a "Select" button at the bottom right of the screen that you need to press to access the actual command line. It seems that more than a few people are unclear as to what to do after typing in the first line of commands, specifically if you have an LG G2. The problem is there is no actual enter button on the LG G2 keypad. What you want to do is type in the first command line, press the "Go" button. (our "enter" button) You will see it process the command line you just entered. It should look similar to this:

dd: writing '/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota': No space left on device
65537+0 records in
65536+0 records out

33554432 bytes (32.0MB) copied.
2.280673 seconds, 14.0 MB/s

From here you should see everything you typed is still on the screen after pressing "Go". This is where a lot of people seem to be getting lost. You must erase or back space everything you just typed in and type in the second command line code and press "Go". Now press the Home button icon on the bottom left of the screen and select the Reboot button from the main menu. Reboot system. Your phone should now reboot normally and be back in action. Hope this helps, worked on T-Mobile LG G2.

I did everything as mentoned, although now my current rom clodyg3 is working without an hiccups but download mode is still not working when i try entering the download mode it gets stuck at the download mode connecting screen with 5 blue dots

before trying anything else just type in these commands

What worked for me was from the TWRP terminal command was to type

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota

then hit enter

type

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc

then hit enter and reboot.

This did the trick for me as well. I was stuck in recovery (TWRP) after an AT&T update came though to my phone (because I stupidly accepted it). Nothing else was working.
I cannot express my appreciation for the fact that you took the time to post this on here. It was because of you that I searched google and now I am able to use my phone again.
I'm sure I could have got my phone working again as I do have some experience in rooting and flashing roms... but you probably saved me a good two days of hassle and immeasurable stress. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Is the phone connected to a computer running the proper driver? If not, "connecting" is as far as you'll get.
