cannot find battery stats

just a random post. battery drain is about ~1% an hour for me.

left the house at 7a (82%) came back at 8p (72%)

really wishing i had battery stats to trouble shoot what's using battery. not that 1% an hour is bad, just not as great as my galaxy tab in standby.

Here's an update after I did a factory reset on my TF: charged the TF to 100% and unplugged at midnight. At 8:00am this morning it was at 78%, so roughly 2.75%/hour discharge rate. At 10:00am (also only on standby) it was at 74%, so 2.6%/hour total for the 10 hours.

The Xoom was at 48% at 8:00am (forgot to note its battery life at midnight), and at 10:00am (also on standby) was at 47%. So, the Xoom on standby is burning .5%/hour, which has been my general experience with it. Checked again at 11:30am and it was still at 47%, so the Xoom is well under .5%/hour. It's just barely sipping power.

Both the Xoom and the TF are configured with the same email accounts and settings, the same general configuration (wifi, etc.), and the same apps except for the Asus apps. Since my experience on standby was roughly the same with the original (non-updated) TF build, I don't think it's the Asus apps that are causing the burn.

If most others were experiencing the same thing, I'd write this off as a purely academic exercise. 2.5%/hour burn rate on standby isn't terrible, particularly since I tend to charge every night anyways. My concern, though, is that if others are getting <1%/hour with the same basic settings, and as I'm getting on the Xoom for sure, then the question becomes: is there something wrong with my TF specifically?

My discharge rate is about 2.5% per hour during standby. I have updated it to the latest May 1st firmware so I can't compare it to the original firmware.

I have 1 imap email checking every 1 hour and not much of anything else. I haven't added any Live widgets other than the defaults.

I will have to do a test for exact drain but i noticed after removing the Asus widget from my desktops (the my zine ) ones i had both on my desktops i noticed alot less battery drain. I am on a trip but i will try tomorrow when i get home

Been a couple days, a lot of yard work being done for mothers day for the wife, so here is where I stand. I added the 2nd email account and put desktop widgets on. Now I have 2 gmail widgets, 1 personal and 1 work, and 2 calendars, work and personal again, plus the other stuff I listed above. My TF was 100% after an overnight charge and I unplugged before going to work in the yard. At the lunch break about 4-5 hours later I was 97%. I read email and such for an hour draining it to 95%. I did not touch the TF again until the next morning and it was at 82%. This seems really odd compared to y'all as in roughly 24 hours I only lost 18% battery with a little being drained as actual usage.

Since you restored to stock I really wonder if this is more of a hardware version or OS version deal. All I know is that I am super happy with this thing so far

I called ASUS support and they offered to let me RMA it, but I have to pay for shipping and it takes 10-14 days ouch that sucks, two weeks with out my Transformer!!

I removed both zine widets but that did not change my battery performance at all.

Anybody else have any luck?

FYI, I did a few tests with airplane mode on and I was still losing around 3.5%-5% battery life.

I did do a few more tests, and my most recent test I found interesting.

I use my TF as usual and had a few applications running, I then turned off the screen and let it sit for an hour and 4% battery life was used.

Then I powered down my TF fully, then I powered it back up and turned off the screen. (Currently the TF is up and running but no applications have been opened aside from backround apps Syncing).

I put the TF into standby (turned off the screen) at 1:37 am and I had 53% battery life.

I checked on the TF in the morning at 8:51am, and I had 51% battery life.

So in just over 7 hours my TF only used 2% battery life in standby which is a very acceptable range.

Conclusion, what ever apps we are opening and using under normal use are not being fully closed out, and are running in the backround, not the backround services as per the airplane mode test.

I will do a few more tests tommorrow, I hope this helps and I look forward to others feedback!
