Android Central Question

I have a moto g5+. I'm not sure what version of Android I have. Tmobile is my carrier.

When I have wifi enabled and cell service, I often cannot send texts, pictures, or audio in the messages app. They will say "sending" and then fail. If I switch off wi-fi, they will send no problem. If I reboot my phone, this seems to temporarily fix the issue, but eventually, it will happen again. It's very frustrating; the whole point of wi-fi is to save me some data. Any ideas or suggestions?

Most texting apps do not support SMS/MMS over wifi.

Check your phone settings, maybe in the "developer" section. There may be an option to keep the cellular radios turned on when wifi is turned on.
