Constantly losing data connection

add me to the list. had it working for a full month, then with my new month, ive lost 3G. had escalated customer support reset my plan twice, tried activate, airplane, etc.

then i tried the network app, pressing menu, and enabling data connection there. that worked, but each time i had to press it more and more before i got my 3G back. something fishy is going on.

I have had my Optimus since day one and it gets worse everyday. Sometimes I can turn airplane mode on to resolve the data issues, but sometimes my phone needs to be restarted. Called VM today and the Rep acted like he was in 8th grade, no customer service skills at all and kept asking me my Specific issue. Told him " I have NO data at all, this is not just about email and crap!" and then got elevated support. The next craphole told me that it was an android related outage and there was no timeline for a resolution.

This made me ill as I use my phone for my business and having to reset my phone 20 times a day gets old quickly. So idk, about to call my attorney and send the CEO a little letter about my experience...

having the same problem on a sprint optimus s, when i first got the phone about 3wks back i had full 3g speed , a week ago it started to act up by losing 3g then unable to receive phone calls. i have called sprint to try and resolve the problem to no avail. highly annoyed, will be swapping the phone today.

If you're that dissatisfied with Virgin Mobile's service, perhaps you should consider switching providers. You're not locked into a contract; contacting your attorney seems very petty. Virgin Mobile is not forcing you to use their service.

Anytime you pay a "premium" or monthly fee for services you hold the legal right to contest.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a "I hate vm post", but it is about their inability to fix issues with their network. There should be a press release about the issues instead of making users "just deal with it".

So next time you decide to rag on my comments, please do it in a private manner.

Thx

Looks to be a national outtage then... tired of using neighbors wifi, hope to get 3g back by morn.

Yes, I called in as well and they told me it was a national outage. As for the guy who posted above about attorneys and what not, seriously, reconsider and think about things before you post.

Yes you pay for their service, and they promise you telephone service with data plans. You are not locked into a contract, it is a prepaid service. Further more, this prepaid service is piggybacking off of another network, you have to expect bad quality of services to begin with. Not only that, but are you not still getting the telephone service part of the plan? I'm pretty sure you are, as I am, just not data. If you bothered to think about it, if they tell you that they are working on it and will fix it when they humanly possibly can, and you still have partially working service, then indeed you ARE being petty and should get over yourself. Do you see anyone else here threatening legal action over just a day of outage?

While it might seem grown up to threaten with lawyers and attorneys and letters to CEOs... really it's just you being childishly impatient and the person who commented on you being petty was entirely correct and you should just shut your yap and be grateful that you have a service that only costs $25 to $40 to $60 a month for what you normally would have to pay $100 or more for. You take a hit on quality for price, this is part of that hit. Now stfu and be grateful or switch providers.

No one wants to hear your kind of QQ'ing.

My service appears to be back up, funny how I waited so patiently and was aptly rewarded... good thing I didn't call my attorney on them, else I might STILL have no service.

VM had a major data outage/upgrade yesterday that appears to have just ended...reports for most is service is back up.
