So this is my first experience with a rom that has "nightly"s. How exactly would I go about getting these? Is it a ROM manager thing or their site? I'm just curious of the method/best method for being on top of this.

I'm done with the .596 sbf, it worked I'm back online. Now I will wait for my next rooted option and I will be back to CM7. I cannot stand stock gb already it is slow, un-responsive at times, and I realize I use rooted apps more than non-rooted ones,lol.
But I have Rom Manager Premium and TBH apps(.596 rooted and deodexed all in 1.zip) all set when needed.

Just grabbed nightly 5, fixed all GPS issues but still no video or camera, hold off if thats important. Other than that its a beastly ROM.
Little disappointed that we can't get the camera and camcorder up by now...come on Nightly computer you've had 5 chances at it
I decided I couldn't wait with the 596 ota root so I'm comin back to CM7. Im SBF'd back to Froyo and running Z4 which seems to be taking an abnormally long time, longer than normal I should say. Anyone else run into that? I'm using 1.3.0 from the rootzwiki. it is running just sitting at the running exploit to obtain root. How long should I let it go for?
Update - My z4 solution was to take ver. 1.3 off my phone entirely and replace it with z4 ver. 1.1 and that worked instantly. Phew.

sometimes i've had to run that z4root (same version) several times. if it just hangs and hangs, close it, pop the battery and try again. i remember having to do it at most 3 times in some attempts. when it works correctly, its not long at all til it reboots on its own.
Please excuse my ignorance...I'm very new at all this...so if I were to just flash the 5th zip on that page, would I be installing all that is needed to run CM7, or do I need to flash any additional zips prior to.
Essentially, I'm asking you for an install path if possible.

Well I am not sure where your device is at the moment, but if you follow this page to a T, you will be in CM with the rest of us and updating with those nightlies which is sort of an update path of its own once your running the ROM

After you follow all the instruction on the link that jerseyboy gave you you can just flash directly to nightly 5.
Afternoon Sith. yea good to be back on CM. Just got back on about 90mins ago after GB zips didnt want to install properly. Now its time to hit up the nightlie #5
Miamifin33 - There will be an official build eventually. Right now there is basically a robot inside the team's dev pc's which knocks out a "nightlie" update every night at I'm assuming midnight-ish. So it is good to keep up with them that way you can follow along right up until the official release. I have read around that if you miss one or more, you can just jump to the "latest and greatest" version including the Gapps that are included. You can also follow @p3droid or @cvpcs on twitter(dont have to join, I didn't) as a back up in case youre not with your phone. Either way this is exciting for many of us as its a great ROM, and that I personally have experience with on a previous phone :'( Oh and one more thing..LET'S GO DEVILS!

I hope I am the only one with this issue. It seems I have to flash CWM recovery to the 2nd-init version to download the nightly(or to back-up and check for updates), then reflash the 2.5.0.7 version of CWM recovery so it will install/back-up. I emailed the error log to the team that appeared during the 1st attempted install in recovery.
So now we have an even amount of ROM teams. We have team Cyan, Yellow, Green and Blue.

Asked this a few times, but no one seems to be able to help. Unable to get Skype up and running for longer than 1 min, anyone else having this issue?
I'm loving all the tweaks in the Cyanogen Mod Settings under settings clickie. Neat lil battery indicator(5% increments), clock removal, lock screen removal, LS gestures, LED hacks, overclocking, it goes on and on. I used Google and AC to learn about them and am learning alot about these tweaks.
