CyanogenMod7 now available in beta!

So what does 2.3.5 improve on the DX? And has anyone experienced any force closures on ADW EX with CM4DX? Lately, everytime I flash a new nightly I get the FC message.

I hope I'm posting in the right forum. Anyhow. I SBF'd a fresh 2.3.34 so I could rom CM7. Threw the CM7 zip on my SD, bootstrapped to CWM recovery, applied the .zip, powered up and was stuck in a bootloop. The first time I tried it I was at less than full battery. Got back into the bootloader, said battery was okay and good to format so I SBF'd again successfully, tried again on a full battery and got the same results. Anyone have any ideas? Supposedly you're able to jump to CM7 from 2.3.34.

Why didn't I install this ROM earlier, lol!?!?!?

This blows away stock GB. My quadrant score was like 2200 or something (just looked at the graph). I couldn't even get close to that before. My DX is so fast now, it's crazy.

Just getting into things at this point, but really wish it had a speed dialer. You know, hold down a number and it dials a contact. So used to that. Going to be a PIA until that add that. Otherwise, I am rocking this thing and super stoked that I decided to instal it.

Yeah, I'm getting tons of FC errors from ADW notifier. I just ran the Fix permissions in ROM Manager, so hopefully that fixes them,
EDIT: Fixed this with a uninstall and reinstall of Notifier.

I also cant get SwiftKey X to download the language pack. Guess I'm stuck on stock keyboard for now.
Edit: Fixed this as well with a uninstall and reinstall.

Haven't bit the bullet yet on CM74DX, how is battery life?

Horrible for some, bad for others.

I just charged it 100% at 11am and right now its 1:30pm and I am at 75%.

I have gone 21hrs on the latest nightly, but i have the extended battery from Motorola and I adjusted the display settings.
This are the settings I am talking about to improve your display/battery http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?913-CM4DX-Auto-brightness-Settings
However I have them to my liking, he put his lower value at 2, way to low for me, I have it at 10.

I am actually in the process of going back to Apex RC2 right now, been using CM4DX since it came out and to be honest...yeah the features and options are great, but the stability bothers me at times (camera, slow gps connection, video, etc) even with the latest fix for the camera/video the quality still bad, I mean come on we have a 8 pixel camera we can't even enjoy and yes I know this is a BETA.

However the latest nightly includes the new market and 2.3.5 android.

Besides it looks like Andrew might be releasing something soon for Apex...and he is thinking of including this: [Script] V6 SuperCharger! HTK & BulletProof Launchers! The ONLY Android MEMORY FIXER! - xda-developers

IMO: Go to CM4DX, try it for about a month or so and then you will know if this is what you like.

I tried Liberty GB, Apex Rc2, MIUI and CM4Dx and out of all of them the best battery life hands down Apex, and i ran Apex without my extended battery.

I definitely agree that Apex has the best battery, hands down. On a single charge I got over thirty hours on Apex. I wish CM7 would get even close to that I would be ecstatic.

I actually have really great battery life on CM7.... I can go for 27-30 hours with large amounts of use, but I'm undervolted a lot. I think it is hit or miss based on how much syncing you are doing all day. I don't usually have a lot of data going on unless i have it in use so ya. I think the best thing you can do is try it, give it a few reboots and atleast a week to get a good idea of the battery usage you will get .

It sure is just need a theme guy to make it and put it together in a zip. I used to do this stuff but I'm super busy and really haven't had time to do theme work. You have to create 100 images so it takes some time. Maybe one night ill get it going if nobody does.

This aught to be fun, I'm going to give it a try.
Thanks.

runs good on miui should run fine on cm7

Thanks. I was reading the thread and there was a lot of info. Some said do this and then there was another line that contradicted itself. As long as you got it working, I should be fine. Also, would you recommend using the V6 Charger and Imoseyon tweaks?

yeah runs great on miui, no problems. and it does show a noticeable difference. my phone feels faster.
and i noticed no matter what rom i'm running, no matter what launcher, when i go from portrait to landscape, it would lag on redraw.. this mod made my redraw almost instant. so it's doing something that's for sure..

my tips
get busybox installer, install what version it says in that thread.
get the script mgr. and load the scripts as indicated in the thread.
anything else beyond that shouldn't be necessary.
I'd pick balanced #1
you may have to reboot a time or 2 and go back in and pick option 1 to view stats and make sure it doesn't say "weak ass launcher" or anything like that.

some of his verbiage is very confusing, wtf does that mean anyway.. he could have dumbed it down a bit to reach a wider audience.

His verbiage is VERY confusing. And I've done most of the things you said but I'll try to use #1 instead of Balanced #3. Another question, after a reboot are the setting lost and then need to be reapplied?

no settings should stick. i did re-apply them after i updated to the newest miui, but it seems they even stuck through that as well. but i figured it couldn't hurt to re-apply them

Update: The V6 SuperCharger with the version 8 worked fine on CM7. But when I tried to apply the 3G TurboCharger, I lost 3G and Wifi access. Applying backup now.
