So what is better? ASOP'S CM7 or Scott's CM7?
I've heard a lot of people complaining about battery life with AOSP. l haven't used it so I can't say for sure, but with zefie's current nightly I'm running at 748Mhz and I've been off the charger for over 11 hours and I'm at 74%, with moderate usage.
Do you ever use your phone?? Lol, under normal circumstances I could go 11 hours and probably be down around 50 or less. Then things got wacky, then I tried out AOSP, and that's where I'm at now. In fact, I'm about 30% down after 5-6ish hours, so that would be about the same. I just feel it's a bit snappier at times, but we'll see..
Like I said, moderate usage. I made a few phone calls, backed up all my apps again, played some games. It might've been a little lighter because I went to work for a few hours and didn't really use it, but I never turn off WiFi. I've been using it as my mouse for my PC for the last couple hours so I didn't have to get out of bed and I'm still only down to 69%.
Damn. Impressive. Only thing I can think of is if you have no widgets running or anything like that which could be sucking up juice like mine. I'm tempted to flash a bare-bones rom and see how that fares before I put all my apps back on, just to see if it's something I'm doing..
I run Launcher Pro with 3 home screens, with a total of 7 widgets across all 3 of them. I don't really leave things running at all. When I was running ThundeROM 1.7 and I had 5 screens full of widgets the battery died much faster, without WiFi on.
FM radio working yet? It's not working on my device...just curious.
I'm used to using 5 screens, but I wonder if going down to 3 would make that much of a difference.. Thoughts? As for widgets, I've just got beautiful widgets super clock on the main page, some rss feed widgets (static, on manual update), a mint.com widget (also static, manual updating), pandora and winamp widgets (but only really active when I'm playing music, which isn't often, and a calendar widget ("pure calendar widget"). Maybe that's too much.. :-\
I noticed an odd bug with 0327. if i turn on wifi from the notification bar and off on the menu settings (or vice versa)it errors out and freezes up the wifi toggle in the notification bar. when its frozen wifi needs to be cycled from the menu settings. curious if this happens on any other phones.....
I installed this ROM (4/1/2011) build on Optimus V. The native wifi tethering works the first time I turned it on but it reboots my phone if toggle it couple of times. Has anybody experiencing the same problem or maybe this is just because my phone is Optimus V?
