Quick question - IF say I flash version 15 now, would I have to clear my data upon going to future versions? Just debating if I want to play with it now or wait. Of course, probably won't be a long wait.

It's usually a good practice to clear cache and dalvik when you flash a new version. You usually don't have to do a factory wipe, but major changes between versions could warrant that.

The forum says he's offline now, (damn, should have messaged him!). It's been a while, so it's a safe bet it's no longer just uploading. Looks like we wait until our king returns, (unless smccloud can pull some strings?)

Same, either it's still uploading, hasn't uploaded (maybe Zefie forgot to close everything using the file) or he just guessed the link wrong

Either way probably just a few hours until he wakes up so I'm not worried

Thanks if I missed that. I know most of the time it's a good idea to clear cache and dalvik. And you should clear data between different Roms and such. Just wasn't sure if these build for beta would warrant clearing data too. But thanks again.

Any idea why the swype keyboard does not function with this build? Gave me a screen res error but it worked in all the other builds. I really need sype.

Swype beta works, but you need to install the swype installer first, then download latest beta again. It asks for username/password during the install.

As for the Swype that is preinstalled. Maybe try a restore from Titanium backup, and see if it will install.

I actually don't like SwiftKey very much - it is missing a lot of words in the English language (last time I tried it it didn't even have the word "downloaded")

It's gotten a lottt better with updates, and the way it predicts your phrases when it "learns" you is pretty sweet...and it shows how redundant I can be

In other news... Calling is fluky on 15 - several calls have worked without a hitch, while two have crashed the phone (had to take out battery) so far.

I am seeing a similar battery drain thats not normal as well. I didnt tiouch phone and saw it drain over last few hrs. going back to lego for a bit!
