adb logcat, run after its been stuck for like 1 minute. it should go to the boot animation quickly. sounds like your framework isnt bootstrapping

Edit: Also if you have Xionia CWMA try formating /system under "mounts and storage", because the CM7 nightly zip doesn't properly erase /system first.

So:
1) format system
2) Apply zip update
3) reboot

Edit2: if you dont have CWMA:
1) adb reboot recovery
2) adb shell mount /system
3) adb shell rm -r /system/*
4) flash zip
5) reboot

Learn, my friend! If not for the sake of fixing your phone, do it for a more stable build

You could always flash Thunderom, switch to CDWA through terminal, then try the system format before retrying 16?

edit2: Nevermind, definitely use Zefie's zip!

Alright, lets scale it down a bit then.

Try this

1) Download and flash this zip: Debug-FormatSYSTEM.zip
2) Flash CM7 right after it without rebooting.

I can confirm that you *should* be able to flash from 15 to 16 with only a cache / dalvik wipe; it worked for me without hitches.
