I'm having trouble with car home. when I launch the app from the icon in the app tray, i get an icon in my notifications. when i click the notification it closes the icon, and says it closes car home too.

This is a mother effin' dream come true. The working EQ makes me want to touch myself...well maybe that's taking it a bit far. GREAT WORK AND THANK YOU!

Hey zefie...
Do you think some of the features currently missing in CM7 (Service Programming, HiddenMenu, etc) will come once Sprint puts their own version of Gingerbread up? (Then I am guessing it would be as easier as copying apks over?)

If its rotary that causes it ill just use the sliding tab lock screen...don't really like rotary anyway...

perhaps via crappy smali hacks but never AOSP

for some reason i cant get NYTimes and thinkorswim to work. NYTimes wouldn't even open, whereas thinkorswim will crash after pressing "login"

That is stagefright, there is a issue with connecting with HTTPS sites.

EDIT... I want to add that it is not only with CM7, but with all of our roms, except maybe stock (havent checked/tried).

Has anyone been able to get the DigitalAlarmWidget.apk from ThundeROM to work correctly in CM7?

I extracted the apk from the ThundeROM zip and installed, but the widget displays "Problem loading widget" when added to the homescreen.

I've searched high and low (Market, forums, Internet) and have been unable to locate this widget anywhere else.

Actually with thunderROM they both worked. I guess I had the version without stagefright enabled. This is bothersome though =[

But CM is definitely way faster than any other rom i've used. :)

Yeah, stagefright is either turned on or off via buildprop. I believe but dont quote me on this but Gingerbread requires stagefright to work properly. In the case of ThundeRom/Lego Rom turning on stagefright is done by flashing the "Deluxe" buildprop that is place on your SD Card when installing ThundeRom. Stagefright is also the cause of that green line across the top of the videos in You Tube.

having intermittent problem with the phone...well maybe not intermittent..last night it was intermittent and i just chalked it up to bugginess/instability of the rom...now its repeatable, at least for me.

When in a call, incoming or out going. I have no audio unless i'm in speaker phone. when in speaker phone every thing works great, as soon as i take it out i cant hear anything from the hand set. I'm still talking out but hear nothing. Looking for advice or info for trouble shooting to get more info about this.

this seems to have gotten reapeatable after my last install where i wiped factory/data, dalvik, cache, formatted /system, ran the debug-format .zip and than installed CM.

The buildprop can be edited to remove Stagefright for HTTP connections only (which will get rid of the green bar on internet videos). This was temporarily one of the buildprop options that's flashable with Lego Rom, but the devs decided not to offer it anymore for whatever reason. If indeed Stagefright locally on the phone is required for Gingerbread to work though, this might be a new option.

Some apps don't work on Gingerbread. Alot of my paid apps have vanished from the market list, until they release a Gingerbread-compatible version.

The app you are looking for may not have a Gingerbread version yet, that could explain the lack of results in the market (won't show up at all, not even to say incompatible)

Zefie this may be required in the kernel thread but will GB see VPN support? (At least for pptp?)

Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks again.

Just plugged in my Optimus into my mac with 02162011 and the USB connected or the USB Debug notification did not come up. I know this already works in stock but now it dosen't. Interestingly enough usb tethering via easytether still works. Though now I can't copy any file to my sdcard now without using dropbox or bluetooth. Help??

USB is a known issue.

USB is a known issue.

notification issue is either upstream or just optimus related. thunderg has same issue.

usb mounting DOES work, if it refuses to load (closes when you try to open usb mass storage dialog), just unplug and re-plug your phone. It has something to do with when you boot the device while connected to PC.
