Hi I just flashed this rom and I'm stuck with the CM7 logo just spinning and spinning. I did a wipe of cache and dalvik, flashed the debug-formatsystem zip, the nightly, then gapps. Rebooted and its stuck on the CM logo. Any ideas of what went wrong? Thanks in advance.

V

Couple pages back Zefie said that once there's a stable build for the S he may work on a V specific build (him or someone else can't quite remember). From what I'm reading about the V the mms will take some time though, because of how Virgin sets up their mms.

Please correct if I'm wrong.

Unless someone wants to donate an Optimus V to zefie, he won't be able to test any changes he may/may not eventually make.

I just cleared the same issue, I did a factory reset, then re-did the debug-format and wiped cache and davlik and reflashed everything. It all works now.

From what I've been reading about Virgin MMS there is no way I can do it without one.

But I can do simple stuff like changing the carrier text. But thats when we reach stable.

Hey Z did you happen to see the post in the V forums that a cm7 Port was released on xda for the optimus one? Might be useful?

I noticed mik_os released an alpha 3 today,
think some of the fixes can be brought over.

alpha3 (2011-02-21):
•Fixed DSPManager
•Increased volume level in speakerphone mode
•Fixed missing keyboard in gapps setup wizzard and some other appliactions
•Fixed crash in CM Settings -> Performance -> CPU menu
•Kernel: integrated BFQ i/o scheduler
•Kernel: integrated optimized touchscreen driver by Der_Caveman
•Liblights: switch to opensource library
•Use ADWLauncher as default launcher
•Kernel: integrated msm framebuffer from 2.6.32.26 kernel, blackscreen bug appears less.
•Fixed "Forever black screen after electronBeam animation"
•Electron beam animation enabled by default
•Updated CM sources

I flashed over from the nightly form the 16th tot he 20th today and my battery chewed through to nothing in no time ( like 5 hours). no difference in use ( basically I did not make any calls or use the data). anyone else notice anything in this build?

Quite the opposite for me. I did not make phone calls or use data but I did have my data working, I lost 1% per hour.

Yea noticed that but I'm not too worried bout all will be fixed soon just be patient children.

The thing that really needs to be fixed is that the screen stays black when making phone calls until you touch the proximity censor

So, updated to the 20 nightly and might have audio issues. Could there be different hardware versions affecting this? Version 18 and before I didn't notice anything wrong with the audio.

I didn't notice anything with my headphones earlier either but plugged the phone into my car stereo and it sounded way off. I checked the balance left and right and it sounded like the left channel sounds like it isn't being affected by the the dsp manager settings. Or my left speakers just suck.

Confirm this. The balanc seems off.

It actually is fixed. A while back in this thread I posted that if you go into settings > call settings and select the check box to always use proximity (it mentions something about horizontal orientation), it will perform as expected during calls. so no more swiping over the sensor with your thumb. That same solution has been posed in the known issues thread as well. It's a quick and dirty fix for something that, yes, out of the box, the rom does have an issue with. Good news is that it's so easy to fix.

I think this is about right. The sound is making some progress, however, since headphones and the phone's speaker by itself (during phone calls, for example) both sound alright. But when you go to external speakers, the fidelity just isn't there on the low end. Time will fix it, and I can live with that in order to have just about everything else working..

It's something to do with /system/etc/AudioFilter.csv and I can't figure it out so I'm going to ask that people start experimenting and helping with this file.

i don't know what i'm doing wrong.
everyone keeps saying how smooth this room is, but for me, it's laggy as heck. i even have it overclocked to 806... opening the app drawer or sliding screen to screen lags like crazy....
any advice?

This rom runs great for me! I used to run ThunderRom 1.6.2 and I dont know if I will ever go back, even though 1.7 is built with the VC files? I just have a few questions about this rom if anyone is kind enough to answer them I'd appreciate it =] Is this rom built with the new VC update files? Is there any need to flash with the build props? I saw JIT is enabled but is stagefright or HW accelleration? I am trying to get away from using a launcher as I was using ADW Launcher but the only thing I get from it is I could set swipe up on the screen launches settings, is there anyway I can set a swipe gesture with this mod? I really love it guys keep up the good work...I need to get a donation to ya'll....thanks alot guys...would appreciate any tips - Glitchsta

Perform these steps and you should be straight:

Format your SD card first
In recovery, Nandroid backup, wipe data, cache, dalvik
flash debugformatsystem.zip
flash rom
flash gapps

reboot and enjoy. Hope this helps you out bro.
