"Volume attenuation?" Like it reduces the MP3 volume to give Nav volume the priority?

Its a group of settings in the cyanogen settings > sound menu "attenuation of set volume". From what I've seen its increased my ringer volume over the stock rom.

I would frequently miss a call because the ring volume was too low (even at max volume). The default setting on CM7 is a night and day difference...

My wife is still running stock and is wondering if there is anyway to increase the ringer volume past the stock maximum

The lack of swype isn't the bug. Quite frequently swype will cease to work properly. It only reacts like the default keyboard... one key press at a time functionality but I can't "swype" words. Everytime I try the border of swype flashes blue.

The only workaround I've found is to disable swype, enable the default gingerbread keyboard, type a message, then disable gingerbread and re-enable swype... rebooting doesn't fix it. I've never had that on stock or thunder so I figured it was something that just wasn't working in CM7.

BTW, Thanks for all the amazing work! :)

I had the same thing fora while intermittently. I would just reinstall swype through Ti backup. theni got tired of that and switched to slideit... Works better anyway....

Seeing as swype is not included with this rom its not a supported keyboard for this rom. End of story. That said you need to go after your software vender.

It's already reported in the tracker. Please refer to the OP for the link to all the known bugs/defects.

I really can't understand why this is even a problem. The only thing I can think of is that you dont want to woken up if that's the case charge it out of your bedroom and put it on silent...this way you dont see it light up and it doesn't disturb anyone else. Does this not solve your problem? If you're worried about someone getting on your phone put a lock pattern or password.

Why do you even turn it off that's the confusing part

I have a couple of issues.

First: I cannot get the ringtones for individual contacts to work. If I choose anything other than Default, it just vibrates. I have wiped data, dalvik, and cache. I have also reflashed several times.

Second: The proximity is not working after a call. I have it set to Always Use Proximity in the call settings but no go. I have wiped data, dalvik, and cache. I also have reflashed.

I have now flashed the CWMA recovery and still have the issues.

The only thing I have noticed is after wiping everything (as in formatting sdcard, wiping data, dalvik, cache, and formatting system) in both drellisdee's and CWMA my alarms have not been erased. So somewhere along the line not everything is getting wiped. Not sure if that could be contributing to my issues.

This is a known bug and if you read back a few pages, there was a "fix" or more like a "workaround." I haven't confirmed it fixed it for me yet, don't miss that many calls. But I do agree, some of the fixes and work-arounds may need their own spot somewhere... maybe just linking to the specific posts from an index on the OP? There are somethings I like to go back to but forget how far back they are.

But either way, Google Voice I hear is 100x better at handing voicemail than Sprint's app. I couldn't get my number forwarded to it, so I can't really say.

It's another bug (remember, this is an early build). If you go into your call settings and check always use proximity sensor, that should resolve it.

EDIT:I also want to point out the original post has a bug tracker link, might want to check that out. Also, for 1 reason or another, checking using always use proximity sensor didn't work after this latest build, but I formatted system again and reflashed it and working again. Just keep that in mind if you run into any problems with it.

Second personalized ringtone issue also as far as the black scream after call, check the setting keep screen awake this helps with the, issue if the screen still wont respond give it a minuet it will come back, if your charger is near by plug it in or unplug it and the screen will come back.

I believe if you go in to settings and you check always use proximity sensor, it sort of fixes the problem. if not swipe next to the sprint logo

Not really my area of expertise, but i've been reading overclocking to 768 is the most stable. Governing is just how the CPU speed is handled vs saving battery life. Overclocking will drain the battery faster, but not sure to what extent. I think the phone is perfectly fine as is. Why do you feel you need to boost performance anymore?
