I want you all to know I will still make nightlies when there are major CM7 updates and I may start optimus specific work again but right now I'm keeping my old VCRom on my phone.

Also this is no one's fault. The latest build seems to be a double edged sword where it works awesome for some, and fails horribly for others. For me, everything kept FC, calls wouldn't go through, and the entire system froze once (I never seen an android hard lock like that before)

So yeah, I am taking a break from having buggy unstable stuff on my phone and enjoying a working, stable ROM for now. (even if VCRom only worked right for me, lol)

Anyone is welcome to take over the Optimus S CM7 project, but if you want to PM me. And please, only if you know how. I'm not a teacher :P

Thanks for all the work you have done bringing us cm7. Looking forward to the next release when you feel its best. Thanks again man!

I have to say it works great for me, even the proximity sensor now, and thanks for all the hard work, and when I get a chance I'll definitely be sending a donation your way, because all the hard work deserves it, thanks again!

Although I was not currently using this, I was very much looking forward to the future with it from the perspective of being able to get the latest/leanest of Android without being at the mercy of LG updates and whatever else they chose to "bless" upon us with those releases.

my screen locks off after i end a call and cant get it to turn the screen on for a while how do i fix this

Read about proximity sensor issues in this thread. Try enabling "Always Use Proximity" in Settings->Call Settings. Swipe your thumb over the area to the left of the sprint logo on the screen to make it come on.

I wish that cyanogen mod and clockworkmod would take notice of the optimus and make their stuff work for this phone like it does for just about every other phone thats out there

Thanks for all the work you did on this ROM, it's my favorite and it's practically a work of art. I'd be lying to say that I wasn't sad to see you take a break, but I'd also be lying if I said you didn't deserve it. You've walked on your lips through broken glass to make this ROM perfect, and I really appreciate it, even if some of the other people on here do not. Thanks again Zefie, and enjoy your break.

Have fun with your break Zefie - you do deserve it :P This is my favorite ROM out of all of those currently available. Aside from a few hiccups that turned out to be something odd with my settings, I haven't encountered anything major, and I've been using this as my day-to-day ROM since it came out. I love the extra features and customizations that come with it, and it pisses off all my coworkers who have Android devices when I paid nothing for my phone and have 2.3.3 on it, and they paid a lot and in some cases still have 2.1 :P

Hi guys, did a repo sync and noticed alot of changes so gonna compile you a NIGHTLY. I won't be testing this one on my device since my NAND is wearing out but if they build I will release them here :P

Thanks zefie. BTW, what is NAND wearing out? :(

Thanks zefie. BTW, what is NAND wearing out? :(

flashing phone too many times risks permanent damage to memory chips that hold t he firmware. i flash many more times thank you guys have to and it is the only theory i can come up with for the lingering problems i still have even on stock-based roms. while the damage seems minimal and tolerable it is obviously different from when i first got it so I would say something changed somewhere :P NAND is just an assumption I have no proof or anything.

Is it coming tonight zefie? I'm anxiously waiting by my bed lol.

It is compiling now, if there are no errors, yes.
