I just flashed 0327 and the 0307 gapps, and I have no Market app upon rebooting. Anyone have this issue? Any thoughts on how to remedy this?

during my initial testing of 0327 i had no problem, well the first time i opened the market it FC'd but then it worked fine after that.

try reflashing the gapps zip maybe it didn't flash correctly.

I've tried. I've rewiped and formatted everything and reflashed at least 4 times now. I'm going to try the older gapps (from January). If this doesn't work I'll have to revert to my nandroid backup.


EDIT: Well, that didn't work. I tried redownloading both the ROM and the gapps zip, copying them fresh to the phone, reflashing everything, and it's still not showing up.

Out of curiosity, did you flash the rom, then boot into the rom, then flash the gapps? I found that worked for me in the past when I had similar issues.

I've tried both ways. I get the CM7 Google Apps Installer, but it force closes when it realizes there's no Market app. I even updated my recovery to 1.2518.6 in case that was the issue, no avail. I really just don't understand why this is happening. It doesn't give me any errors, says everything installs properly, then doesn't give me the Market app.

my google apps work fine but i have been using the same ones for awhile i think they are 20110120 ones didnt even know there was an updated verion but i also use titanium backup so i already have the updated ones

So anybody else lose the ability to send gmail or from exchange account with this build? I can compose or reply, but after pressing the send button, the message sits in the outbox. I can receive just fine, just no sending.

...is anyone tired of these dumb signatures?

EDIT - Tried clearing caches, reboots, etc. No luck, probably do a clean install.

lol, anyway, I'm starting to think the amazon apps are serious battery drains. If I don't kill the amazon market and/or mp3 app my battery dies wicked fast.. I noticed a bit too late today and only lasted about 6-7 hours..

Tapatalk isn't bad, though annoying when you don't have it and the website harasses you to buy it over and over. I got it for my iPad but not android because I hate typing on that this as it is.

I finally got it working with the 20110120 gapps, don't know why the 0307 won't work, or why the 0120 wasn't working before.

try this, do a full wipe, both caches and data, don't forget the debug zip, flash the 317 release, boot, install gapps, boot, flash the 327 release wiping only the two caches.

I tried this. It didn't work. I ended up (I think, I wiped and installed at least 30 times yesterday) installing 317, installing gapps, booting, wiping data/cache, installing 327, installing 307 gapps, booting (didn't have Market), installing 120 gapps, and now everything seems to be working except I have two entries of Car Home for some reason, which I can live with.

I have been switching back and forth between these 2 roms for the past week or so without having to do a full wipe. Just make sure to wipe dalvik-cache and cache.

I flashed the 3-27 nightly last night and my prior issues with geolocation have gone away which is very nice. So this is pretty darn close to a daily driver for me now if only the bluetooth for calls worked. I know that it has never worked but is it being worked on? Also, can anyone recommend a good wired headset? I (or rather the people I have been calling), have been getting more and more frustrated with bluetooth for calls anyway.
