thanks it wasnt the SD it fixed itself after a handful of reboots![]()
I flashed my phone TR 1.5 now it stuck with fuzzy screen and can't shut off the phone. Please help me. Did I broke my phone and how can I go back to recovery? Nevermind, took off the battery and put back in, its cool now. Got me scared for a moment. One quick question how do get all apps I used to have before back? Forget it, I'll just download it all over again. I'm liking this TR 1.5 right now and thank you so much for this.
Weird issue but I have TR installed on both Optimus S phones in my house and for some reason both people who use them keep reporting that widgets will randomly move themselves a few screens over every once in a while.
This is TR 1.4 not yet 1.5
All notifications (ringtones, alarm, etc) are pushed to the SD card upon flashing so ...
1) If you do not have an SD card you do not have them
2) If you changed out your SD card and did not move them, you do not have them.
To fix reflash the ROM overtop of itself. No need to wipe anything just simply reflash the ROM and during the process it will push your notifications back to the SD card.
Weird issue but I have TR installed on both Optimus S phones in my house and for some reason both people who use them keep reporting that widgets will randomly move themselves a few screens over every once in a while.
All of a sudden the clock widget will be over on a screen by itself or the voicemail widget will be gone only to find it hiding on another home screen. This is TR 1.4 not yet 1.5
Are ringtones and notification sounds saved to the phone in stock phones and pushed to SD in TR1.5? if so is there a way to push then back to the phone because I'm experiencing the same issue of missing calls, texts, notifications, even an alarm and was late to work because SD card unmounted overnight and had no ringer. I formated my SD card like instructed on your suggestion from the SD thread with no luck. Also tried formatting using an official SDA formatter with no luck fixing unmounting issue.
Just thought id ask since these phones have a serious unmounting issue it would be nice to get ringers saved to phone instead of SD
The clarification question is in regards to the buildprops. On the standard flash, I'm getting ~7.5MFlops via the LinPack benchmark. I've been assuming that this is with the stock v9 buildprop. Is this in fact the case, i.e., is the buildprop in the rom the stock v9 version? And if so, and I switch to the JIT buildprop, should I expect an increase in the LinPack benchmark? I'm confused since it seems others are getting the ~7.5MFlops with JIT. Thanks in advance for all responses.
Flash the new 1.5 and let us know if you have the same issues. If you do, my next suggestion would be to start clean and completely wipe the phone (flash, dalvik, etc) and then flash the rom. Of course, make a nandroid backup before wiping anything. Although if you really want to know if the issue is related to the rom itself or something else, I souls suggest syncing your contacts to google and just starting from scratch with 1.5. Yes, you will lose text messages, call logs, and all apps but this is the last resort (or the most complete way). Bottom line is you need to move to 1.5. Good luck. Let us know what happens!
From my understanding the tones are moved to the sd on thunderom. In order to solve this issue you will need to refer to the sticky in the optimus s section on how to solve this problem. There is definitely a 100% way to fix it. It involves purchasing a new card that is at least class 4 speed. This is the only known permanent fix. There are people that have solved the issue using different steps but the common denominator is a new memory card.... Read through the sticky in the optimus s section. It should give you a little more insight. Hope this helps.
The froyo keyboard was deleted according to post #1 in TR 1.5 and replaced with gingerbread one. If you wanted froyo keyboard back might just have to reflash TR 1.4 if its still on your SD card.
.....
What it boils down to is this ....
1) JIT = Real life speed increase .... period.
2) Stagefright provides a false speed increase due to certain media formats nor working on our device
3) Without stagefright, certain types of apps won't work on our device
4) With stagefright, certain media types that used to work on your device will no longer work because you enabled stagefright and LG's implementation doesn't support that format (which is probably why they turned it off in the first place)
I took the time to provide a full breakdown and hope that you guys (the folks using the ROM) will kindly point people towards it the next time a "ThundeROM broke my (insert audio/video) app!!!!" post comes along![]()
Thanks in advance
