KSmith...do you know what Sprint VV is listed as in this rom? I pulled a ls last night through command prompt to remove it because I use Google Voice and couldn't find it.

Also, are the commands in ADB the same as they are in other devices for removing apps? If not, can you please tell me what they are after I get the list and #?

Off the top of my head i think it's cm-android.apk and it's in system/app

The commands should be the same but want an even easier way? Download the application Root Explorer from the market. I know, it costs a couple of dollars but it is by far and away one of my favorite applications of all time. Once downloaded open the app, grant it super user permission. Go into system. Go into app. In the upper right hand corner of the screen you'll see a button that allows you to toggle r/o or r/w. Touch that so the application is in r/w mode. Scroll down to cm-android.apk, long press, click delete.

Viola. No adb and now you have an explorer that essentially takes full advantage of the root access you have and lets you mount r/w to any directory :)

oh ...and if im wrong about the name then it com.coremobility.app.vnotes.apk You'll see it though cause root explorer shows you the icon for the application.

Wow, that was easy. Thanks. Definitely worth the 4 bucks...I hate removing apps through ADB. :) And you were right about the name with the first one.

Was this not the right forum to post this?

Are/could there be any plans for exposure control on the camera? I have to say that this is almost a deal-breaker for this phone for me. My Samsung m510 took beautiful pictures, especially of skies behind silhouetted treelines, because I could adjust the exposure down to avoid washing out the sky. It's really disappointing that my fanciest phone yet has a severely limited camera. Is there any way around this at all? Even if the actual exposure time can't be controlled, might there be some way to manipulate the process of converting the raw sensor data into a jpg? Thanks.

Also: Any way to get a long-press on the Menu key to bring up the dial pad? It's a phone first and foremost, and it takes so much more effort to make a call on this compared to just flipping the thing open and pushing buttons.

3G issues when going from ThundeRom 1.5 to 1.6

I don't know if this is just happening to me, and i'm a new user, so i don't know if this should go on the ThundeRom thread. But, once i made the switch from ThundeRom 1.5 to ThundeRom 1.6, i noticed i was just stuck in 1x, instead of being in 3g. This is the first rom and i really do enjoy it :), so i was wondering if anyone could help me with this.

We need a working AOSP port first.

Have you looked at optimus one rom for compatibility with the S

I have been thinking a port from the one might be the way to go. I have a 2.3 for the S that has sd card mounting and working sound :)

Thanks

I would just like to say thanks for all the work you have put into creating the ROM's. I have been using them since 1.3 and I can say they just keep getting better. I have had no issues and my phone operates perfectly.
So once again. Thank you.

Hugh Wilson. :)

No problemo Hugh. Quite welcome. Thank you for enjoying the work :D

Ditto. Never touched a camera. There is a VERY robust camera app in the market called vignette. A lot of people swear by it. You may want to see if it offers the features you're looking for.

Ok... I am a total noob when it comes to this Android stuph. I have had a LG Optimus S for less than a month and have your ThundeROM installed. I didn?t even have a smartphone of any sort B4 this mind you so the apps are like crack to me for now. I still would like to find a good kernel if anyone has a suggestion that would be great! Mainly I just want to show appreciation to the moderators and everyone here for helping me get waist deep in this so fast and for being such a help to everyone on the forum. I have seen some questions asked in a way that I thought would for sure warrant a verbal crushing but instead you guys respond with helpful guidance. *Group Hug*

+1 on the awesome devs and mods here! What else are you looking for in a kernel? The kernel that comes with ThundeROM works perfect for me with the Deluxe buildprop. You just need to find your phone's "sweet spot" for OC!

Not sure if it has to do with ThundeROM, but my phone has been "freaking out" starting today. While in a text message, letter will be pressed, the notif bar pulls down, and the only way to stop is a bat pull. Any others having this issue?

Weird question is it possible to move my custom made ringtones from sd to phone storage. Reason I am asking is my laptop met a glass of orange juice and I am upgrading from the stock 2gig to a 8gig.

I would use the Dropbox app to upload the stuff from the SD you want to save and then download to your new SD card. I love Dropbox!!

I noticed this as well i didn't thing it had to do with the rom tho, i figured i was on sprints end I reflashed anyway because the phone was begining to act weird yesterday i got less then 5 hours of battery when the day before got almost 14 with more use, the back cover was also much warmer than normal so i'm hoping the re-flash fixed that as well..

Try going into call settings, set your system slecet to sprint only see how things, other then that try updating prl/profile or toggle airplane mode on/off real quick.

I would say try this one first,if you have a server get a ftp app and upload everything to it if you can. The other way is to get root explorer or es and copy&paste them into syste/media/ringtones or alarm.
