Youll hqve to conferm this with the maker but this most likely a fix for the problem of the phone periodically checking for updates rather then just not accepting the signiture of any of the updates like the terminal comands did.

Just to make sure, I am doing this correctly. Am i suppose to flash the OTA-Stop_Buggin.zip on the custom recovery to stop all the sprint notifications on my phone?

Yes and no, yes just flash it, no im not sure if it will stop the "check out the latest from sprint" messages, but it does take care of the OTA notification.

Thats from sprintzone.apk which, in thunderom is moved to /data so anyone can remove. If you don't want those stupid sprint special offers things you can remove sprintzone.apk via Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage apps

cool, thank you ichihollow for the fast reply. I just wanted to get rid of the OTA notifications, i dont mind the other notifications because they dont bother as much as the OTA message showing everytime I use my phone.

Hey thanks for the great rom and easy solution to stop the ota notifications. I also have issues with orb/orb live and the deluxe buildprop as suggested didn't help. I just use the web streaming for video though. Their app is garbage for video. I just get the sorry this video cannot be played message and stream type is 3gp. It worked on stock. Thanks.

can i go out on a limb and assume this is a remote desktop app, if thats the case it's funny that i'm having problems with teamviewer, just keep getting FCs every time i try to make the connection to my home computers.

i've really liked TV, i had it running great with TR 1.5, so i'm just going to be patient and hope that the next TR wont have problems with it, i've done all the traditional reinstall app, reinstall TR, then reinstall app, restarting was in there several times in various places, all with no effect. I've only got one reason to use it off my phone between now and april, so i'm hoping there is another TR release before april, if not i'll downgrade in april, then re upgrade when my job's over. As far as the reason to use it now off the phone, i can always phone a buddy of mine who's also using it and have him handle what ever i need.

Try clearing the cache and/or data for the market and then open the market close it and you'll have to probably reboot and wait a little while then they should appear.

If your talking about the OTA update from Sprint then no you will lose root.
