Has anyone had a 100% wake issue? I was looking in spare parts and noticed that my phone has a 100% wake... It can't be an app because I never had this issue on 1.6.2. Can anyone else check and verify with me what they're showing?

Not normal, check partial wake usage and see if there is anything keeping it awake.

I've noticed this to and just went back to the previous version of Gmail and adjusted it to not update automatically...it would be cool for a permanent fix though.

Yeah, going back to the previous version of Gmail did get me back the easy-to-see notification icon. I reverted to the previous version because of documented instability with the app, not solely to get the old icons, though.

Any idea why my screen won't come on sometimes when I try to wake it. I don't have the button zip installed. I have to wait and push the power button a few times to get it to come on.

This is a common problem among the Optimus S line...not related to any rom. Typically when it starts doing this to me, I reboot and it goes away.

Make a Nandroid backup (just in case) and wipe cache and dalvik, but not data, then reflash TR1.7 again, it will revert back to the way it was. And you don't lose any info or apps. I did this yesterday and it worked for me. I had issues with the screen not coming on sometimes with the zip applied. Have had no issues since.
Thanks! Unfortunately I applied it before I posted this. I had just finished setting everything up and didn't want to re-flash the ROM. I ended up extracting the file from the ROM file and dropping the it over the modified one. All good now. Thanks!

Just so you know, if you wipe cache and dalvik but not data you can reflash TM1.7 and lose nothing. Glad you got where you want to be though.

Does anyone know where I can find the kernel used in TR 1.6.2 so I can flash it for V 1.7 to overclock?

Nevermind...I see it on their site. Dur...

I'm pretty sure it was removed for a reason - TR 1.7 requires VC baseband and the OC kernels don't work with VC baseband at the moment. Some people that have tried seem to be getting some strange results.

I really wouldn't try that. There's a reason that the stock kernel is being used for now. TR 1.7 needs the VC built kernel in order to work right. Honestly, the performance difference on this phone from the extra 100Mhz is not THAT huge... I'd wait until it's officially supported.

So I did the update to VC OTA, still had root. Then I installed ThundeRom 1.7 and my phone booted up and it works.

Is there going to be any future problems since I updated this way?

Nope, I did it this way also. Only thing is, I dont advise you let the phone die. I had a hell of a time getting it to come off the LG screen after the battery ran all the way dead. Other then that, I havnt had one issue.

I haven't had any issues and CarrieK hasn't...I have rebooted and pulled the battery, powered down and let the phone drain dead and have no issues booting startup. That's not to say that your experience will be the same. It seems like everyone is still trying to figure out what is going on with the LG hang and a lot of people are having varying results... I guess you could try and recreate the error like I have all day. Hehe. :) I hope the higher ups can get this figured out soon so there's more people having success with getting to VC. Hopefully then we will get the new ThundeRom overclocked again. :P
