Deleting AT&T bloatware on Samsung Note 4 SM-910A

Bought an unlocked Samsung Note 4 SM-910A via Ebay from a reseller in Ottawa. It works with my prepaid Koodo (Telus discount service) sim card. (Originally had to return a SM-910T that was blacklisted.) But is AT&T bloatware heavy.

Then I discovered after much reading of this site and the forum.xda-developers.com site that the bootloader can be unlocked so the AT&T version of the Note 4 cannot be rooted and therefore it is impossible to flash a custom ROM.

I also read that the temp roots on this SM-910A are not stable.

The current Android version is 5.1.1 Lollipops.

Is there way to use temp root to move AT&T and other unwanted files to a temporary app subdirectory and not have the effort reversed every time I restart the phone?

Suggestions? Or should I simply try to exchange it/get a refund?

While not completely uninstalling ATT 's bloatware, Package Disabler Pro disables any unwanted apps at the system level without having to resort to rooting your device. Updated regularly and devs respond to emails.

There are threads on xda which you can follow and help you in decided which apps you can safely disable (which in turn can improve battery life).
