I was wondering if there is a way to disable the 270-degree rotation introduced by Froyo. Often times when I take my phone out of my pocket and open an app, the app opens up in 270-degree landscape mode (I have my launcher set to portrait mode only, so I only notice it when using an app). I then have to kind of "force" the phone into portrait mode by shaking it downward or flipping it forward... can't really explain but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, any suggestions?

Yes I know what your speaking about. Not sure if there really was a fix. Maybe its something they addressed in official Froyo.

Settings - display - auto rotate screen.

Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk

That setting disables all rotation without pulling out the keyboard. I still want to be able to use the 90-degree auto-landscape, just not the 270-degree landscape (basically how it was in Eclair).

This requires a simple edit to a system file (which requires root access, which it looks like you have), I just don't remember which one. Will take a look when I get home later today.

Actually the edit I was referring to earlier no longer works in Froyo (found this out the hard way) - when I used it I was on Eclair. Have you tried the app linked in the post above yours?
