Disabling OTA updates?

I've got an unrooted Droid RAZR HD that is working just fine with Android 4.1.1. With some users reporting issues and/or PdaNet+ tethering possibly being disabled with the recent 4.1.2 update, I'd just as soon leave the current image intact until I can verify that all issues are solvable or have work-arounds. Currently, I'm getting a pop-up message every 12 hours or so asking me to apply the latest update. I figure it's just a matter of time before I accidentally hit the wrong button and allow it to be installed (or it decides to go ahead and install without permission). Does anybody know a way to disable updates unless explicitly requested manually via Settings->"About phone"?

Not unless you root your phone... otherwise your stuck getting that message.
