Does it bother you that N5 doesn't have SD card slot?

dude, GTA Vice City is already 1.39GB in size. San Andreas is huge compared to vice city.
--------------------
my HUGE apps installed:
Asphalt 7 : 1.20GB
Asphalt 8 : 1.59GB
GTA Vice City: 1.39GB
NFS Most Wanted : 2.04GB

Audio Files: 3.18GB
Pictures/Videos : 3GB

Wow...lol, i dont play those games (GTA) on my phone. Its not near as good as the console. If you have Asphalt 8, why not delete 7 and save some space.

11.48GB left in my 32GB nexus 5. hmm... i haven't added any HD movie yet.

oh wait.. there is news about GTA San andreas coming to mobile devices, idk how big that will be.

Oh word?? I'm about to Google that right now lol. Dan Andreas was the game.

I really wanted expandable memory. Really, really wanted it but the Nexus experience was more important. I may regret it later on when I can't store the 64GB+ Spotify collection or my 350GB personal collection (though an SD card wouldn't be a lot of help there either) but for now I'm happy. I'm not a big fan of doing my gaming on my phone. The only space or battery intensive thing I do is play/stream music. If I need to I can bump up from a 2GB plan. Never saw the need to because I could barely surf the Web on AT&Ts H+ network (lucky to hit 0.35Mbps with five bars right next to a tower) but with LTE I chomp through data.

I know how you feel. Hopefully they'll at least continue to support USB OTG and come out with larger capacity cards very soon.

bec. i haven't played both games before. will delete them after i finish.

Not at all I only care about that if the device has a tiny amount of memory on. 32GB is fine for me, I will be careful with my storage and I rarely max out a storage device anyway.

That is my beef as well. To take away our choice is very Microsoft/Apple like ... and not what I thought Google was about. I will never get a device with no SD card slot. I keep a selection of music and documents on my SD card to use when I am in an area with no cell coverage, which still exists in more places than people realize. I would love to get a Nexus device and drop all the carrier crap, but will never be an option for that one reason.
:(

Upgraded this July from a Samsung phone with sd, to Nexus 5, but I don't miss the sd .

Old phone was 16GB and housed a 16GB SD, which at the most I may have used 5GB, phone storage was less than that.

I just don't have a need for a lot of storage.

Yes.
I use poweramp with WAV files & having no SD card & not enough built in memory I have to make compromises.

Google music is fine but the built in music player is pants & sounds awful. The Equalizer is duff & does nothing to improve the sound to how I like it.

Nexus devices need to have an SD card slot, Pronto.

I agree. As much as I love my Nexus 5 I'm trying to get a OPO. That at least I can buy (IF I can ever buy it) in a 64 GB capacity, although that's not as much as I want either.

Pretty much the only issue I run into is when I'm playing around with multirom... I have the 16GB version (T-Mobile didn't offer the 32) and I really only have room for one fully loaded out ROM.... if I did have the 32, I'd have no issues, so it really doesn't bother me much. I have a GINORMOUS music library, but it's all pushed to Play Music, so I don't have to store anything local for the most part. I regularly purge my local pictures and videos once they get up on Google+, so that doesn't bother me in the least.

I mean, if I had the 32G version, without carrying about a bunch of extra ROMs, I'd have about 20Gb free on a daily basis.... I supposed I'd find a reason to fill it, well, because 20GB, but my usage isn't suffering now.

If it had a SD card I wouldn't use is since I use my N5 for banking and stock market. With Kit Kat you can no longer put Apps on the SD card since it is a security issues. SD cards were made for cameras with a FAT 32 format that doesn't have security bits built into the FAT 32 format. Secure Digital (SD) standard was introduced in August 1999 by SanDisk, Matsu****a, and Toshiba that control the FAT 32 format. Google should replace FAT 32 format with a more security format storage device so a App can't steal my passwords to my bank account and stock accounts.

But switching from FAT32 (to say a linux file system) would mean that people couldn't pop their cards into their laptops to transfer files... and they'd complain. Not having the ability to use native UNIX file and folder permissions is one of the reasons they are fussing with access like they are, but cards come as FAT32, and I don't see that changing.

The floppy disk is obsolete. All storage devices are replaced over time when they have outlived their design. The SD cards with it's security flaw should never been used in a Smartphone that Apps have full vision into any other Apps information on the SD card. The Nexus 5 main memory doesn't have this security issue which is why Apps under Kit Kat can no longer be stored on the SD cards. The one and only solution is to replace the FAT 32 format with a security based format and then you can buy one a device that will allow your Computer to use this Security based card so you can move files between your computer and smartphone. I want a secure phone and a secure portable storage format.

The fix could be as simple as SanDisk, Matsu****a, and Toshiba updating it's priority FAT32 format on their SD card. It is the FAT32 format that must be replaced not the SD card.
