What do you mean real life? This is an outrage! :) Seriously, though, I upgraded to your ROM a couple of days ago and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. You've done great work.

Personally I think drew's roms are amazing. The way this phone operates now compared to before is unbelievable. I thank you as well.

Not stopped, just on hold for a little while. I just simply do not have the time currently to do a full resync, merge my changes and build. The whole process takes several hours.

This was discussed a few pages back, real life (and my soon-to-be business) are taking precedence at the moment. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning this at all :D
Thanks for the update and good luck with your new business. Stable-002 is great--fast, stable and 36-48 hours of battery life :)

When headphones are plugged in the mic doesn't work! Is this uniform for everyone is it just me? And is it change-able? I believe it was different in nRom. Thanks!

happens to me too. I'm positive others have the same problem. This I know because I read a couple pages back that there were problems with having mic disabled when the headphones are plugged in.

Here's hoping that it will get fixed on the next stable build. *crosses fingers*

If I'm right wired headsets with a mic built-in still work fine its the Headphones + Phone mic that seems to be not working correct right now.

I'm just happy my Bluetooth is working again =D

I have the same issue with this ROM. I really would like to see it fixed since I use this extensively when in the car. Who needs a Bluetooth for calls when I can get more out of my car stereo and a tape converter. Hah! We don't need no stinking Bluetooth! (But we kinda need the mic for phone calls...)

I'm guessing it's a matter of changing a setting or adding a line in a conf file or something, just not sure which one.

There is a thread labeled remap your hardware keys in this forum look for it, I would... but I'm too lazy =P there is a flashible zip with the contents of what you desire.

Eh got lazy so I grabbed the link for ye, hit the thanks or something .. http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...-mod-remap-your-hardware-keys.html#post959980

Will following that guide allow me to use my buttons when it is awake but not when locked, though?

And one last thing, I don't even have Google voice on my phone but I get two voicemail notifications and a text. Nothing in the call settings works either.

I couldnt have said it better myself. I really dislike the sound of bluetooth in my car, I personally think its better audio with the AUX cord plugged in into the phone. Once this is fixed, I believe that ROM will be near perfect.

Did this handset mic work with stock builds with regular headphone plugged in? I know in Reborn the handset mic did not work either with the headphones plugged in. Seeing if it could be hardware or software related. More than likely on the software side.

I kind of looked into it and it's a kernal issue. SO it might break it for the rest of us using headset with mic's.

Some things to look at

Issue 4095 - android - Internal microphone cuts off when headphones plugged in - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

Trying to fix the bug with using headphones/line-out without mic [SOLVED] - xda-developers

Ours don't have these values to change in the build.prop

Seems to be an app here to try: http://code.google.com/p/toggleheadset2/

I dirty flashed it and it works fine. but do a nandroid backup first.

I just wiped cache partition and Dalvik (don't know if necessary), and 002 works great.

I was hoping to do an OTA update today, did not realize the project was on hold, better nandroid this where I have it now, and break my phone some other way, I cannot sit still with the same ROM for more than a week :-)

other than Drew's kernel, which other kernel works best with this ROM?

I've noticed the same phenomenon. But has done it with all 2.3 roms. Scott p athenos and these ones. Would love to be able to talk in mic with headphone s plugged in (standard headphones with no mic and no buttons) I use it a lot while walking and sucks to have to unplug the cord and pull an ear bud out (ear bud s...sounds like a hygiene problem)
