I've noticed the same phenomenon. But has done it with all 2.3 roms. Scott p athenos and these ones. Would love to be able to talk in mic with headphone s plugged in (standard headphones with no mic and no buttons) I use it a lot while walking and sucks to have to unplug the cord and pull an ear bud out (ear bud s...sounds like a hygiene problem)

That's not necessarily true. When I was on athenoes cm7 rom, the headset with mic worked fine. Well, I know I tested it out and it worked for me.

anyone else getting an error when trying to update to stable 02? its telling me that it cannot verify the installation package. any ideas? corrupt zip?

I had to redownload and do two dirty flashes before it worked for me. Also had to reinstall Gapps, but its been flawless since then.

Camera Shutter Sound

How do you disable the shutter sound?
I deleted the ogg file but the sound is still there. It's extremely loud!

I agree. I've just gotten used to turning down ringer volume before opening camera app. Since the sound seems to be linked to ringer volume, it turns it off if it's all the way down.

If those apps use CMD_END_CALL to end calls they won't work as I've disabled CMD_END_CALL in order to workaround the "Power button ends call" issue.

There is a build prop edit to disable shutter sound, it has worked great for me in this rom.

Persist.camera.shutter.disable 1

Hey that is fantastic! Is there a setting for the focus beep, too?

Will following that guide allow me to use my buttons when it is awake but not when locked, though?


And one last thing, I don't even have Google voice on my phone but I get two voicemail notifications and a text. Nothing in the call settings works either.

It will disable the buttons from waking the screen when locked.

I've searched through most of this thread and everywhere I could find online but keep getting mixed responses. One Guy asked here but was told it should work.

When I plug my phone into my truck using the aux Jack the Mic turns off. I can hear through speakers but no one can hear me. Also tested with voice search. No sound in at all. I have to activate speaker phone which cuts out the truck speakers and doesn't fix voice search features like navigation and texting using speach. Anyone else have this issue or a fix? Worked with stock and reborn rom.

This is a known issue (and has been reported a countless number of times), there is no fix or workaround yet AFAIK.

Ah ha! That explains it! Pretty positive they all depend on that function to some extent. No worries though as I have rigged up youmail and contacts in a certain way as a viable alternative.

This build is awesome, feels nice and snappy. Just wanted to report one thing, not a big deal. I think I read in the change logs there had been a fix for bluetooth headsets. But in my car my phone will pair with my car, however it will not actually connect to the phone in order to make/recieve calls. I use a parrot bluetooth system. Just letting you know ! keep up the awesome work.

Bluetooth does work, I use 2 different bluetooth headsets at work and it sync's up flawlessly with my car. As for bluetooth eveything works. I love being able to make calls in my car handsfree or listen to my music wirelessly thru bluetooth thru my radio. I use them every single day!
