Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Anybody having the "missing shared library" issue after flashing this latest update (7.1.0.2)? Can't install Google goggles from market... keep getting this error message.

Resolved: re-flashed gapps and all is well in noob land again... THX

Anyone notice that in Google Places the distance to location is in kilometers? In other ROMs it shows miles, and I can't figure out how to change it.

Yeah, I have the same issue. I'm dealing with it to help me conceptualize metric distances but I should know how to change it if I can.

Multiply kilometers by .6 to get miles. Until I find a setting that allows me to change that, I have to fall back on my old math learned on the German Autobahn. 100kph = 60mph... :p

Hey I just noticed this too! What gives, Google?

@Everyone: I'm really sorry about the lack of updates, I've been kinda under the weather lately.

Don't sweat it. Everyone gets sick and everyone has real life that gets in our way at times. Focus on getting better not an update.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it another week without an update to my phone. Things just aren't the same when I can't get my fix for that feeling I get when I run 2.3 despite LG dragging their feet.

In all seriousness, just work on getting better. It's a hobby not a job and should be treated as such. Also, good luck with your buisness :) .

NP dude, just chill out and get better, I'm just happy to have cm7 with Bluetooth working everything else is icing on the cake!

Does it matter which version of gapps is installed on this rom?

I noticed that the link of the first page is for the gapps from June. I assume it's fine to use the latest gapps from August:

But just wanted to ask the question in case there is a reason for the old link. THANKS!

The version for June is for the more up-to-date Android builds. It is recommended that you use what is linked in this thread. If you choose to do otherwise, it may cause other issues (as with any disclaimer :p)...

20110613: This package is designed for Android 2.3.4, and will not work on 2.3.3. It contains all of the applications updated for 2.3.4, but does not include the new Google Talk with video chat due to there being no compatible library available for non-ARM7 and non-neon board devices, from Google or another OEM. This package should work on all 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 ROMs, and has the latest Android Market (v2, not the one with video rentals) update in it, which includes in-app purchase support. This package is listed in the above table, ROM Manager, and latest/7/universal. It should be used with ROMs such as CyanogenMod 7.1.0.

Sorry to hear that man. Hope you get better soon. Relaxation helps with that. ;)

Can someone please explain to me the differences of the CPU governor settings? I'm wondering which is the best to use.

Did you do a search on CPU governors? There is a thread for this question already.

I have searched but I haven't found anything as specific as I'd like. Guess I'll keep looking.
