Droid Incredible Shipping?

Wow, completely forgot about this phone since launch and figured it would be off backorder by now! Just checked verizons site and it's not shipping till 7/22 0.o
 
So I just got off the phone with the Verizon internet order department and they don't have the tracking number as of yet but said that it takes a couple of hours before they would get that back from FedEx. They said that if I don't get notified by 2PM or 3PM to call back. I also asked about shipping and they said that all internet orders are being shipped next day at no charge for the DINC.
 
Same here, Ordered & processed on 6-3 & I am anxiously awaiting the email with the tracking number.

Same here. 6/3 order/processed. Promised 6/23 ship in store, CSR promised 6/24 ship date w/overnight yesterday. Still no e-mail, no *611.
 
Just called 611 AGAIN! I am tired of calling them for status updates, I try so hard not to actually deal with people on the phone! ;) Still scheduled for 6/25 ship date, this time he did tell me that it was 1 day shipping and I would receive it the next day, of course it is going to work and I don't work Saturday's so it won't come until Monday. Yesterday when I called it was 2 day shipping. I was hoping to have it by Saturday, for my Birthday! Oh Well.
 
Just got shipping confirm for my DInc. Still waiting on wife's.

Ordered online 6/2, posted 6/2
Promised (4 seperate times) ship 6/23. Actual ship (1/2) 6/24 will deliver 6/25.
 
Threatening to Cancel

I'm threatening to cancel my order for my Incredible with Verizon unless they can ship it out within the next few days. I ordered it online on 6/11 with a ship date of 7/12. I really need this phone for my job and it's making things very difficult not having a smartphone (I have just a regular piece of junk call/text phone right now that's breaking ---turns off on it's own, pieces falling off, etc.). If I call and ask them to ship it now or I'll cancel the order and get something else (change providers maybe?), do you think it will work? What other options do I have? This is really ridiculous (for all of us here) to be paying customers and have to wait this long for a CELL PHONE. Especially when it's coming from one of the biggest wireless providers in the world. Let me know what you think.

I doubt they will give in. One customer loss is not a big deal to a company as large as they are. On top of that they do not appear to be allowing folks to cancel their orders, but rather make you decline receipt and then get nailed for a 15% restock fee (plus the fact that they have already billed you for the phone).

No offense, but if you have a ship date of 7/12 then why would they ship it earlier? They stated that it wouldnt ship til 7/12...I would assume if you tell them you need it now, that they will tell you that you should have ordered another phone. Im not calling to complain until my ship date passes.

I also doubt that would work since the demand on the phone is so high. When me and my wife were looking into getting new phones and I wanted the DINC and she also wanted a Smartphone we tried the "leave Verizon" trick to see if they would give us a deal on 2 DINC but it didn't fly and she has been a customer since they were Cellular One.

well if that's the case, then we're right on time. So 6/4 orders should ship tomorrow then and 6/5 on monday. But that still means my 6/4 order won't get here till monday, that sucks!

I just called 611 and she said that it WILL be shipping today but it was too early and that I would have to call back later even though I should be expecting the text with tracking.

That is two different people doing research into my order (6/3) and both have said that it will be shipping today. The lady today even called the Sales Dept and they backed it up as well.

I'm still not going to get excited until I see a number with my name on it...

There is always the option of canceling your Inc order, getting an Eris/Droid and on 7/15 just get the Droid X when it comes out.

The Eris is no longer available from Verizon, I thought about doing the same thing, but when I went back to the VZW website the Eris wasn't there anymore. Someone on the Eris board said that the Eris was replaced by 2 other phones in that same price bracket.
