Droid Incredible Shipping?

I got lucky with mine. I ordered on 6/9 with an original ship date of 7/8. Had some minor issues and the CSR said she would call me back if there was a problem. No call, no problem consider the phone ordered. I called back the next morning and the order still wasn't placed. I figured to give it to that nite.

As life would have it I didn't have a chance to call again until 6/15. Found out my order was never placed! Went through all kinds of fighting with the CSR. Wanted an extended battery but settled for them moving up my NE2 date 4 months for an extra $50 off.

By Friday I was calling all the 3rd party vendors I knew. I actually found a Best Buy with DIncs in stock but they wouldn't hold it for me. Called Verizon to cancel my order and got into a fight with the CSR. She wouldn't let me cancel my order and she also said if I went to get the phone at BB they wouldn't even be able to activate it on my account. I flipped. Told her when I hung up I was going to buy an iPhone (my contract was up).

Called back got another CSR. She was much more helpful. Said I can go pick it up. No problems. Just refuse the package when it comes. She even called BB to make sure they had a phone. I went to pick it up at 5 that night. Got there and they wouldn't accept a $50 discount VZW told me they would. Put $50 down on the phone called VZW back again-this is call 3 today, 6 total-from the parking lot. After more fighting they say they will credit my account the $50.

At long last I get DInc.
 
What number have Y'all been calling , just the *611 :confused: number and getting CS that way, hope I won't need to but just if I need to
 
Well, even though the ship date was 1 day late I'm glad to finally see some movement on shipping!
 
Yay! I'm cheering on everyone that gets theirs. As I'll probably be the last one in civilized world to get theirs since I ordered on June 18th. :mad: July 18-19th is prolly my shipping date going by the website and comparing how long most are getting theirs.

I'm just hoping I can wait that long. I've been looking at the Droid X specs and even though I really don't like the way it looks, just getting my hands on Android is worth not having to wait an entire month. I've been reading up on rooting and all the great applications and just all the great and interesting things related to the os. So, basically I'm salivating to get ANY advanced droid os powered phone.
 
Alright all you 6/2, 6/3, and 6/4 orders. I am waiting to hear from you guys about shipping updates today. If I am not mistaken they are all supposed to ship by the 24th (I know today is the 23rd so here is to hoping). I ordered 6/3 so if I hear something I will let everyone know.

I would love to hear from you too. I'm a 6/5'r and am still holding out hope I'll receive my phone by Friday due to having overnight shipping! I hope the rumor of Verizon receiving a huge shipment today and tomorrow is true!
 
Billing?

Greetings fellow droid less peeps,
As I read along here, this is my own tale of woe:
Ordered 2 "not yet incredible" units on ~~ June 8th in the A.M.
Ship date *was to be* ~~ June 28th
My verizon usage billing runs from ~~ May 17th - June 16th
I have a really Large bill currently due ~~ July 11th

What goes on here?
Paying for many things I have not received, during that particular billing period?
2 units
2 internet access fees

My husband is going to try calling this morning ~
it might just be like, if anyone remembers,
"Operators are standing by to take your order"
from TV commercials

I guess my end question is this~
When you rent a car,
they actually give you a car to drive,
not just picture of a car to admire.

Oh and a bill for rental car, nah make that a picture of a phone
 
Hopefully I hear something today. VZW CSR said I would absolutely ship today for delivery tomorrow.

You should not have to pay for the internet fee, unless you currently have a smartphone.

I agree we should not be billed for the items until the items ship. That is how most other [credible] businesses operate.

This is the message I got from vzw asking what would happen since I had to pay my account /phone and if it doesnt soon get here :

All orders for this phone placed on 6/8/2010 will be shipped by 6/29/2010. Lately, we have been receiving the replenishment of phones a few days early and have been able to surprise our customers.

However; keep in mind that the very latest that your order will be shipped in on 6/29/2010. We ship via FedEx and therefore the very latest that you will receive your new phone is 7/1/2010.

You are correct in that you will be notified by email once the order is shipped out. If it is early in the morning, then you could expect to receive your phone the next day. Keep in mind that there are a lot of orders going out and therefore you may not receive the phone until the following day.

Well I emailed Version yesterday and this was my response.

"I completely understand your excitement about your forthcoming Incredible shipment. Based on our current stock and shipping schedules, any orders placed 6/3 will ship no later than 6/24. The phone hasn't shipped yet, and it takes 2-5 business days to ship so if it goes out on 6/24, you most likely won't get the phone till Monday, 6/28. I hope this isn't some kind of inconvenience for you."

Estimated Shipping: 6/24

Now I hope it is a mistake but I thought when I was ordering online that I got free overnight shipping and not the 2-5 day shipping and that was just a canned response.

You should call just to make sure. Would suck to find out AFTER the phone was shipped that you have 2-5 day shipping. Call now to have it bumped.

I am planning on calling CS today before I go to work, hopefully to get some good new's I'd love for it to show up early. That is a distinct possibility since they are supposedlry getting large shipments of them yesterday and today. I really don't wanna go another weekend without it :(. I'll report back on what I hear.

Had to join just to post what I found today. Ordered in a Verizon store on 6/5. Called today and was told that my Incredible would not ship until 7/9. If I wanted to cancel, I would have to pay a $35 restocking fee for a phone I haven't even recieved.

On hold for a supervisor now....
