I got a Samsung epic two days ago and yesterday I started experiencing bad lag which I thought was suppose to be normal. After awhile I realized that the phone wasn't lagging but the screen wasn't recognizing that I was touching it. I took it back and got a new one from best buy mobile( Those guys are the greatest), and now I can actually use swype again. When I was talking to the guy he said that the epics in general have been really flawless in their operation and have a low percentage of returns. Has anyone had responsiveness issues with their epic?

Actually, my only problem, and one I'm learning that many have is the GPS.. My phone has always been instant in regards to touch.

everything about my phone is flawless. Even GPS. I always get a quick lock but sometimes it'll be a little off, and it'll be bacause I'm inside.

But I've never had any screen responsiveness issues.

Screen has been flawless for me. I have managed to lock it up a few times, but thats the fault of crappy apps, not the phone (I think).

I have heard of a few people with screen problems, mostly with the 4 buttons at the bottom but they have been rare.

Resposiveness depends how much of the memory is used at the time. My suggestion would be to install the "Advanced Task Killer" and run it every once in a while to free up memory.

No need to use a taskiller. Many threads about it, they cause more problems then they help. The stock program manager works fine, and if you are still using touchwiz, it has a nice widget which shows u how many apps you have open.
