Anybody that's not updated to 2.2, can you check something? Albeit very small, I'm noticing that the top corners of the home screen are rounded, a la Palm Pre. The bottom corners of the homescreen are still sharp corners.

I wanted someone that's still on 2.1 to confirm if I'm just imagining this is new or not. Thanks.

OK who ever is getting eror message do it this way it worked for me!
First Rename the file to just update do not add .zip
(the .zip is already their just invisible)
then follow this:
1. Load ROM onto main directory of SD Card
2. Rename file to update.zip
3. Turn off phone by holding Power
4. Hold volume up + Power until bootloader screen comes up
5. Select bootloader
6. Select recovery
7. At red exclamation screen, hold volume up + power again for a few seconds until blue text comes up
8. Select update from SD card

In windows 7 on the top left of your window click organize

select folder and search options

select view tab in the middle

un check hide known extensions


then take a look at the file again.

If I'm looking at what I think you're talking about my 2.1 is rounded at the top and sharp on the bottom corners

I am still on 2.1 and yes the top corners are rounded and the bottom ones are still sharp..... Why?

Thanks. I guess I was imaging things. But I did immediately notice that the fonts of the 3G and clock (in notification bar) is different...although, I think they're different.

New at this type of stuff. So all I have to do is download the link from Engadget then reboot the phone hit the up button and install it?? I don't have to download anything else correct? Thanks

I guess my NEXT question is with HTC saying this is "NOT" the official and final version what happens when they make some tweaks and send out the OTA next week????

Anyone know what the green refesh circle with the phone laying down lighted up means? It said "Reboot from menu", I did that and it's now there. Edit: Nm, it seems to have just been finishing restarting...

Has ANYONE been able to update with this zip file using any other HBOOT screen than 79?

Has ANYONE been able to update with this zip file from a rooted phone?

If so, can you please tell me what recovery program you had in place? I'm currently using RA-evo and selecting the update from zip option says the zip fails verification.

Ideas?

ok, problem i'm having is i downloaded link for froyo through my browser, but it wont let me doo it! It is trying to go through my nesoid app instead, how do i switch this so i can load froyo???

Well I did what the instructions said to do and it works. Flash is working although it is kind of choppy when I try and watch a video on the page. And it says "video not optimized for mobile". And also there are pop up's. (I was on worldstarhiphop.com
Thats all I tried as of now...
